What a great game!
As someone who mostly enjoys playing slower paced RPGs like Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Baldur's Gate, etc. It's quite refreshing to play a fast paced game where you embody a Cyber Ninja who has a wide variety of tools and techniques with which you take out your enemies, because if you don't, death comes easy. It's very rewarding to get into a groove of flowing around your enemies, planning vectors of attacks which may or may not pay off. If it doesn't, no biggie, continuing from well placed check points is fast and seamless. You're easily back into the combat. The whole experience is exemplified by the game's amazing synthwave style electronic music. The soundtrack really helps set the pace for me. I really appreciate how the devs flushed out the combat abilities, boss battles, and story compared to the first game, improving on every aspect. On a side note, the motorcycle levels were especially refreshing and enjoyable. If there's one thing I could critque, it would be story dialogue during intense moments in levels where I had to stop and ask myself what I missed. Ultimately it's not that big of a deal because it's easy to replay levels for personal achievements, and better yet, unlocking new difficulty modes after you've finished the game to really change up the campaign. For me this game is an easy recommend!
