A decent metroidvania
If you're a fan of metroidvania titles then you'll enjoy this one. It's short, only a few hours if you try to find everything, but enjoyable nonetheless. The only real critiques are that the boss battles are a sudden difficulty spike, although not insurmountable. There is also a LOT of momentum in your actions. Be it jumping, dashing, or even just running, you will often find yourself going farther than you expect or want.

Fantastic game especially for the price.
9/10 Superb game. It took just over 4 hours to complete with all the backtracking to get 100%. It has a good story and the difficulty matches up with the upgrades you collect. A few downsides: the lack of a world map and map indicators. I had to source a map online to figure out where to go for the 100%. I would have gotten the appropriate upgrades much earlier but couldn't remember where Rebba was. Story-wise, I wish there was a bit more of an explanation of a couple of things that I won't say here for sake of spoilers. Also, lack of controller support. The style is cute but engaging despite being 1-bit. Progress is fluid and the backtracking is minimal. Fortunately, the game warns you about entering the final area so you can collect everything and the in-game menu shows your progress.

Meow!
Nice little gem of a game. Casual gameplay most of the time, except for bosses who have interesting patterns. Also, 100% needs some work - a couple of upgrades are difficult to find/guess. Caveat: Xbox controller is nicely recognized, mapping is OK for most of the game, but not very convenient (a jump, x shoot, b missile) when you need/want to run and gun and missile (and phase). I used joy2key to have an alternate shoot (LT) and missile (LB). Control remapping for controllers would be nice.
