Worth every penny
Definitely the best in it's genre. Not only a great simulator but a climactic story (much better than SC), and it's just a load of fun. I would definitely buy if I didn't have my original CDs. One of the best game purchases I made.

Bring back the space combat
The first free space was amazing, this one took all the things of the first one and made it better and it was the last best space-combat-sim to ever be released. If I had to pick one old game to get a sequel it would be this one. Here is to volition taking up this series again.

ONE OF THE BEST
This game defines all space shooters today, this is a well made, game, people like it. Its just a good game, and not to mention the 50,000 addons and mods for this game, it just rocks, get this game-- you wont be dissapointed

Never Gets Old
Despite this game's age, it is still better than most games of its type. Actually there aren't really any others like it, which makes it a one of a kind. With Freespace Open you can expand tremendously on an already feature packed game. Some of the best tutorials of even today, and some of the coolest briefing scenes.

Best Game ever!
i played this game I and II about 12 years ago i had the CDs; but i lost them This game, im my opinion, rate along other great games i have played before like DOOM(any version) or BF 2 and 3 It is the story what keeps you interested thru the whole game and beyong If they are coming with FS3 i will say GO FOR IT!!!!
