F.E.A.R. Platinum

There’s not a whole lot to be said about FEAR other then it’s a fun action-packed FPS where you’re rarely bored. It’s got solid and flowing shooting action, neat story, bullet timing, and is near constantly throwing combat and/or jump scares at you (and the latter isn't as repetitive or predicable as games like Dead Space or Doom 3). I’d stick with just playing the first game, even if the others show up on GOG. I know FEAR 2 has its fans, and it’s not nearly as bad or disrespectful as the third game, but I had too many issues with it to recommend it. Best to do what one should do with Condemned or Mass Effect 1 and pretend it bombed and never got a sequel.

So far so good, amazing old good FEAR, Need to play and have in library all fans of shooters! Recommended.

This game is a good shooter. A definite must play while on sale. The highlights of the action in this game is very fun to use Bullet Time. the enemies operate in squads unlike most other shooters and work in tactical manner to kill you or flush you out of a position. Not to mention the Ai is very good for 2019 standards.

A great game with first person shooting done the way it should be : smart enemies that use cover well and don't just walk into a hail of bullets. Essentially corridor or room based. Old school with graphics that while not up to modern standards have a lot going for them and were state of the art then : dynamic lighting and shadows for one. Horror element done well with some jump scares that will catch you out. Sound very effective and really adds to immersion. But above all challenging AI and atmosphere make this a real treat for any FPS fan. A must have.
