Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition

Hi, I just got back from Vault 22 - so You know it's rather early in the game. So far I had 3 or 4 buggy saves. Every time I tried to load them up it caused the game to crash. I unistalled the game. Maybe one day after it's gonna be fixed I'll return to the Mojave wasteland. For now, I'm done - I don't have the time to repeat my deads from earlier saves. Exept that the game itself has a good story ( till the moment I played ) and decent mechanics.

This is Fallout at its best. Unfortunately the game crashes and ooh boy it crashes really hard. I'm still playing the game because it's so awesome and haven't finished the main story yet and of course the DLC as well at the end. I had 3 hard crashes until this point in the game. This is somewhat annoying because I have to restart my laptop every single time and not even by normal means I have to force a restart. PC gaming has some issues and it varies from game to game and of course your own hardware and I don't like it and to be honest I was so happy with my console while it lasted. Now I'm playing a couple of GOG games which is are the most likely to work on my laptop.

Trying to mod it and get is stable never seems to work for me. I should just revert to windows 7 and get it over with, I'm sure that would help. Thing is for a super fun playthrough you need certain mods and I make the bashed patch, do everything I think I need to and same result. I get about 30% through the game and the crashes start or goes to endless loading and believe me I've tried every fix, patch, mods and combo of them

Behind all of the jank, bugs, crashes, 3rd party patches there's a wonderful game that I never get tired of playing one more time.

My experience with this franchise was complicated. I've tried the first game and the PS3 port of New Vegas and i couldn't play them beyond 30 minutes. I really love the universe but those 2 games didn't connect with me...until i bought New Vegas in this platform thanks to a disccount. I haven't finished it yet but i'm safe to say this is such an incredible game. The lore of this world an characters are great, the gameplay feels very good now that i used mouse & keyboard and the amount of play styles available is impresive. Totally worth it!
