Fallout London is a total conversion mod made by Team FOLON® for Fallout 4 GOTY and requires you to own the base game on either GOG or Steam.
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.
Fallout: London lets you explore a dishevelled London set in the Fallout universe. It overhauls Fallout 4 with a new story, new weapons, London-centric items and a vast recreation of the ruined city to explore.
Fallout: London is a free total conversion mod for Fallout 4, available to anyone who owns the base game and all of its DLCs. It is developed non-commercially by Team FOLON, many of whom are proud London residents or expats.
There has never been a better time to sample the capital’s delights! Fallout: London lets you explore the wonders of the city 160 years after the bombs have dropped, and 40 years before the events of Fallout 3. You can now reimagine Fallout in a London-centric universe, interacting with a brave new world of London-based locations, stories, factions, creatures, weapons, and gameplay mechanics.
The Gentry-dominated London stands on a knife-edge, and you may be the key to which way the guillotine falls. Play a new story set in London with a fresh character beginning, numerous conflicting factions to engage with and multiple story paths and endings with up to 90 hours of gameplay. Just be aware of what terrible secrets you may uncover in the shadowy gaps amidst the halls of power.

A quick review: it's entirely stable now
There have been a huge number of fixes and improvements to the game since the older reviews that talk about crashing, and the games runs solid as a rock now. If you like Fallout, or post apocalyptic in general, then this is well worth the download.

An Excellent Fallout Mod (Game)
What a mod! What an achievement! Are there bugs and things that could be fixed? Sure. But with a mod this size and ambitious that is to be expected. But, wow, this is a whole new game and a whole new experience. With interconnected lore with other FO games and a lore of its own entirely! First, the positive. Massive, interesting, and exciting, the work the mod makers have done is incredible. This could be a standalone FO game itself. Excellently produced, with great voice acting, fun quests and locations, and great in-depth understanding of the UK. I really enjoyed it. There isn't much more that can be said, except play it and experience it. If you love Fallout games and RPGs, where choices matter, this mod is for you. So, the negative. There isn't much I can say bad about this mod. If I was pushed I would say that some quests are broken (though this is a pre-DLC/update review), some quests/locations don't work well with certain roleplaying - I played a thief character and ended up having missions I could do (main missions) because they were not for my character style. I had to complete them cheaply or by using the console. Also, and this is the biggest qualm I have, there is no continuing after the end, which would have been fun. But that is an old-school FO type thing, so I can forgive it. Conclusion: play it. It is well worth it. I am going into my second playthrough now with the DLC/update and I have watched a series on YouTube (Gopher), and there is still a lot to find out and explore! Thank you, mod makers and all involved. You did wonderful.

Old Guard Impressed Impressions
Im 52. Ive been playing Fallout since the first isometric Fallout 1 in 1997 then Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics; and every game after. I was there when Bethesda bought the rights and i dreaded Fallout 3 as the clamouring consensus at the time was Beth would ruin it. How wrong we were.. I was hooked from then on, the Fallout world is like an old comfortable friend to me. Fallout 4 alone I must have logged 4000 Hrs, though i was playing Fallout 3 before Steam even existed (back in the days of CD's.) Countless hours of modding. Suffice to say im a veteran who knows this world inside out so my opinion and pedigree should carry weight. As someone who is a tough judge for Fallout I initially was disappointed with FOLON, I started twice then quit after a couple of days, the graphics which reminded me of FalloutNV jarred because i got very comfortable with the superior graphics of Fallout 4. Then a few days ago i made a vow and decided to try again and play it full on and give it a fighting chance. It was the right decision. I have hardly seen any bugs in the current iteration on offer, I think the game has only frozen up once to desktop and ive been playing easily 8 Hrs at a time for days. Some quests are glitchy but overall ive found going away and coming back resolves this and moves them on. Ive been doing a lot of modding this year so vowed to play it without mods (again thats the best decision,) you dont even need Reshade or other complicated processes, for anyone who has seen the mods vanilla sunset or dawn over the Thames you will understand. I did install FO4Edit the other day because i wanted to edit certain underoutfits to be Ballistic Weave capable (though i wouldnt recommend doing this unless you know what your doing) but other than that no mods are needed, in fact if you mod it how will you know what the vanilla flavour is.. I dont have any complaints, its impressive so far, considering this work was done by fans for free; im impressed. Its 9/10 from me.

Linear and still Fallout 4, Crashes
So, first the positive: From little i managed to force myself to play trough crashes the story dopesnt seem to be about finding a family memeber. Negative: While voice acting is pretty good the dialogue writing is not great and dialogues are very linear just like Fallout 4 Quests and story seem very linear one way so far, nothing like the fallouts of old Still not a real fallout game with skills and skill checks, and perks are still same crap from Fallout 4 Still has settlements, ugh Conclusion: If you are not a fan of fallout 4/76 and are a fan of 1/2/NV this is not a game for you, I personally would have preffered if they made something way smaller in scope but with more freedom of choice in how the conversations go, how to solve the quests, where the story goes and with all the Fallout RPG stuff returned
