Fallout London is a total conversion mod made by Team FOLON® for Fallout 4 GOTY and requires you to own the base game on either GOG or Steam.
How to install and play Fallout London:
If you own Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition on Steam, please click here to access the installation's instructions provided by Team FOLON®. You will have to downgrade your version, then install the Fallout: London via our dedicated launcher.
Install Fallout London via GOG GALAXY and launch it.
Follow the launcher’s instructions, and enjoy!
A Polite Disclaimer
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.

This is the most gigantic, vivid, and engrossing experience I’ve had playing a game since I played Baldurs Gate 3. You can lose yourself wandering around the rich environment, creeping through gang territories on a dark night in the rain, splattering the guts of the myriad newly designed creatures and scavengers. The music, both ambient and radio, is beautifully scored and fits to the tone of the city itself. The ambient in particular gives me nostalgia of Disco Elysium in the best way possible. The only downside I can speak of so far, is that you can see where certain dialogue or areas have been underdeveloped in respect to the whole, stretched a little thin at times due to the massive scale of the project. But it’s hardly enough to break you out of the immersion. Besides that, the process of getting the mod to work on a steam deck with a steam copy, is doable, but may take some time and effort if you are, similarly to me, a bit of a Luddite in regards to modding. That said, it is possible for even someone as new to it as myself, and it’s gotten more and more streamlined as Team Folon continues to iron it out and provide detailed walkthroughs. I highly suggest you pull up a walkthrough, (I used written and video together) and download this beauty.
Fallout London is a great look into "what if-" with a European POV, but oh boy this mod plays like a Bethesda game, and it needed a whole lot more testing.
There's a lot of bugs, the game crashes frequently, and it's in need of a lot more work.
You keep getting told you can't do this or that, and can't go this or that way, and then it works anyway. Textures and characters frequently goes missing. The route suggestions consistently suggests the long way around.
I would normally be a lot gentler on the ratings too, since it's a free mod, but I had to buy the base game on GOG because the downgraders didn't work on steam, so it gets the full judgement.
Whats not to love. Everything is new. Gobbs of archtecture and missions.
Can't quite seem to get the London Bridge workshop rolling. But, I am my companion are happy there. A few quirks. Nothing more that Bethesda's creation. Totally worth the price and time. Love it so much I donated full game price to the FOLON team. Keep the team alive!
I don't know if i love this mod or hate it.
Exploring is really fun, new mobs are fun, new weapons are fun and interesting.
New factions? Awful. The story telling is beyond sub par. Vagabonds are awful, Gentry are awful, Tommies are a bunch of gimps, quests are boring and unintersting.
I am and have been forcing myself to do quests simply to level up but they are awful. I have not been invested in a single story or character since starting. Voice acting is mid at best and sounds like you've had yanks do English accents.
I am loving exploring London it's the only thing that is keeping me playing however the amount of buildings i've walked into that are one room with a door you cannot enter is a joke. It's lazy and causes next level frustartion.
Looks amazing, map is fun before entering pointless buildings that is and overall i would suggest a fan of the series tries this but i don't see myself playing this for much longer as the past two times i have played i have Alt F4d just to get this game off my screen.
Amazing effort from everyone involved but the hype does not come close to matching gameplay.
