Fallout London is a total conversion mod made by Team FOLON® for Fallout 4 GOTY and requires you to own the base game on either GOG or Steam.
How to install and play Fallout London:
If you own Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition on Steam, please click here to access the installation's instructions provided by Team FOLON®. You will have to downgrade your version, then install the Fallout: London via our dedicated launcher.
Install Fallout London via GOG GALAXY and launch it.
Follow the launcher’s instructions, and enjoy!
A Polite Disclaimer
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.

I purchased Fallout 4 GOTY to support GOG and Team FOLON, but even after a delayed release, this (very impressive) mod released in a buggy, sometimes unplayable state, for myself and many others.
I've watched dozens of hours of streams and reviews, and I still can't wait to fully immerse myself in Fallout: London. However, the release version would crash on the title card after the train crash. Recently, their hotfix has released but leaves my game in a worse state, failing to even launch the installer to update my game. Even a fresh install of base game and mod hasn't helped.
Once this mod and installer work correctly for me, I will be happy to change my rating. To anyone reading this review: please register this to your library to show GOG and Team FOLON that you're interested in this and projects like it.
I have completed the mod and there will be spoilers below.
I want to focus on the negative stuff as feedback for the developers (the mod is amazing though):
- Technical Problems.
The mod is ridden with bugs everywhere with broken quests, broken dialogue and a lot of crashing. A lot of these problems have been fixed with the recent update, but there is far more for them to fix still. By far the worst problem, which they can't fix, are the very long loading times that make playing the mod a slog even if you have a good SSD.
- Main Factions (SPOILERS).
Fallout London has 3 faction endings. Angel, Camelot and 5th Column. There was supposed to be a 4th, but it was cut and I'll cover that in the next bullet point. From the start of the game, you slowly learn more and more about Angel as you progress through the main story. This is fine and it's what I'd expect. However, Camelot and 5th Column are completely absent from the story until they are very suddenly shoehorned in at ACT 3 of the mod, which is crazy to me. You don't get any time to learn about them, or see them in action. They aren't introduced very well either. Camelot is introduced by seeing random knight NPCs shoot arrows and the 5th Column is introduced through a random robot that has been hacked to spew propaganda. To fix this problem, Camelot and the 5th Column need to be introduced far earlier in the main questline. They must be injected into earlier points in the story and make a constant appearance and have more of a presence.
- It's Unfinished.
As mentioned above, there was meant to be a 4th faction ending which is the Independent ending (like Yes Man from New Vegas). This was scrapped from the mod for release and is intended to be in a future update. Apparently the mod is full of a lot of named NPCs that have no dialogue because they're intended for the Independent route. If the game is unfinished, I have to hold it against the mod by principle alone. Games should be released finished, period.
I was loving this game , map , the quests and the richness of the world is incredible for around 15 hours before I encountered major fps issues in a big area of the game . Unfortunately troubleshooting help from folon has been managed badly , discord barely helps and they do have troubleshooting section there but it's closed or your waiting around a lot. They should be making their own videos on YouTube on how to install for each system. This game clearly wasn't ready for launching, which is a shame. Even when I try to install the new patch ... It can't find the game folder for London when merged with fallout 4. I even installed it again and same thing. Guys if you want to set up indie studios professionally you need to work on this otherwise people won't spend money on your games. Your reputation means everything. Game is amazing though hats off to you.
There is not a single upside to playing with this mod. The melee weapons are no fun (as always) but guns are nerfed into the ground and ammo is nonexistent. The mod is full of annoying fish people who hjave to take deep breaths after every word. By default, Buffout 4 isn't even set up properly and various fixes haven't been implemented (hell, there's a whole part of the map that crashes the game if you enter it). The map is bland and uninspired, with most combat situations taking place in enclosed spaces. The game is balanced horribly, at level 5 with full health and armour I am being one-shot by enemies in the main quest. The city looks nothing like London, it feels more like going through Fallout 4 Boston. Worst of all, the developers shoehorned Amazon into the game for whatever reason.
Still a bit too buggy and glitchy. Too be expected from a mod. I am giving hard critique because I really belive the people behind this mod can make this as good as any bougth game.
