Восхитительно!
Игра радует своей атмосферой, сложностью, геймплеем. Тут есть несколько видов оружия и даже дадут покататься на танке! А интересные миссии не дадут заскучать.

A gem that was not appreciated back then
I picked up "Faces of War" on sale, having never heard of it, despite being a dedicated RTS fan. I've played games like *Company of Heroes* and *Sudden Strike*, and while I've heard of *Men of War*, I haven't had the chance to play it. My first impression was that the tutorials were complex. I found myself saving after each small objective to avoid replaying the entire mission if I made a mistake. However, once I grasped the logic of the user interface, the game became much easier to navigate. For a game from 2006, the gameplay holds up surprisingly well, though it's still challenging. Back when it was released, many would have considered it difficult due to its demanding controls and high level of micromanagement. As an RTS veteran, this wasn't an issue for me. The game's reputation as a "low-key gem" stems from the very things that likely alienated players in 2006. A quick search of old reviews, such as one from Xplay, confirms that the primary criticisms were its difficulty and the extensive micromanagement required. These same sentiments are echoed in some of the GOG reviews. If you're a fan of hardcore World War II RTS games, you'll likely enjoy this one, even with the clunky UI and demanding micromanagement. The game is specifically designed for that niche, and if you've enjoyed the games I mentioned, this will feel right at home. I believe even fans of other micro-heavy RTS games like *Command & Conquer* or *Blizzard's RTS titles* would find the mechanics manageable and enjoyable. I rate this game 4 out of 5 stars. It was ahead of its time with great graphics and modding support. It's a shame I never discovered it earlier, as I can only imagine how fun the online multiplayer must have been.

The Patience of Job
Never played the game. I'm dropping 5 stars because the developer has the class and dignity not to yell at the idiot end users for flapping their gums about 'which flag goes on the box' when in reality.. the game was produced with multiple box art styles. Seriously, look it up. Quit whining like a bunch of babies. Also, note that the devs changed the box art on GoG back to the flag-neutral version, so I expect the whiners have bought the game now, like they promised. Oh, and to the long winded guy whining about people using the words Russia and U.S.S.R. interchangeable. News Flash: The region has a complex history. People (around the world) Use the terms interchangeable. Get over it. There isno disrespect intended. ..unlike the comment inferred about Polish developers.

It's not bad, in fact it's good, but...
+ Good soundtracks Minimal soldier stories Sometimes it's difficult, but it's a healthy difficulty. The Soldiers-Men of War vibe it's not quite , but it's there. Most things can be learned, understood, nothing is impossible. Interesting locations and battle maps, the capture of the German island, and the fact that I am finally with the attacking Germans with enough troops and tanks were particularly appealing. It doesn't cost much and can still give you something you're happy about. - Stupid, command-rejecting units with vision problems Vile, provocative, disgusting, worm ai The tank damage system is a bad joke Rare but it's unenjoyable, monotonous Suspicious things to cheat (opponent's hits exactly what they wants, you have to beg for the gun to work and your idiot soldiers hit anything) The game likes to lie about missions sometimes Sometimes crash Overall, it wasn't bad at all. This game is the scarfaced grandfather of Men of War. There are annoying, problematic, faulty things in it, but overall it's good fun and teaches real strategies and ruthlessness. I've played with significantly worse "games" than this, this was fair even compared to them. I give him three with good intentions. It's not absolutely flawless, but anyone who likes World War II, strategy, or subjugating the enemy will like it.

Awesome game. You have to be strategic im this game.. is a wargame with a good sense of thinking too..
