Everything about this game is great!
If you love Space-shooters, this is the perfect game for you. Somehow the game combines fast-paced combat, ability management, exploration, crafting and ressource management all into one without it feeling either bloated or boring. I've never made it to the end yet, but I don't really care. Every tun there is so much cool stuff to see and do that even though it's always the same stuff remixed, it never feels old. That might be in part because the controls are top-notch and the graphics are amazing. The atmosphere really grips me, actually creeping me out a little if I get too close to a black hole. Another cool feature is how impactful the skills are. One of them actually stops time, allowing you to defeat enemies you normally wouldn't be able to. In addition, there are a ton of small things you can find in each system that make exploration feel immersive and rewarding. I like the idea of Rogue-likes, but generally they don't really capture me the way Everspace has. I'd say give it a shot even if you don't like Rogue-likes usually.
