Triggering Difficulty But Loads of Fun
I've been on a roguelike binge these past few months so I gave Enter a Gungeon a shot. First off, the game's art design is pretty. I'm definitely the target audience for that. As for gameplay, the loop is definitely a blast but it's HARD. At least it's polished so every death is due to my lack of skills. I'm never good with these bullet hell games to begin with so the pace is pretty slow for me. I barely unlock stuff per run so it took a while before I can see progress but hey, I have not much complaint so it's all good. As for characters, I didn't unlock anyone so I just kept using either Hunter or Marine. Love the hunter's dog btw. I can't deny how fun each run was but after getting to the end once and getting 3/4 of the bullet ingredients, the loop isn't doing much for me anymore and I decided to move on. At least I had fun and I think this game is a bang for your buck even in 2025. 12 Hours and 20-ish Runs later, I give Enter the Gungeon a 4/5
