Lead 7 civilizations; fight 3 campaigns; conquer epic maps in historical battles throughout history. Massive time line and variety of fighting units and unique civilizations across five ages: Middle Ages (950 AD - 1300 AD), Gunpowder (1300 AD - 1600 AD), Imperial (1600 AD - 1900 AD), World War I (1914 AD - 1935 AD), World War II (1935 AD - 1945 AD).
Deep campaigns contribute to a weeks of high replay value. Create your own full campaigns in the campaign/mission editor.

Great nostalgia trip BUT BE WARNED
I love this old game. Played it so much as a kid. Got it off the shelf at big lots for $5 back in the early 2000s.Great level of detail for how old it is. You can zoom in so much. amazing story and voice acting, straight forward mechnaics you can just guess. I really like this RTS as a kid but.... I forgot HOW SLOW THIS GAME IS. there is no speed control either. I remember while playing lionhearts first mission, why i would chat online with people as I played this game. its brutally slow. Also the pathing of troops as you click them to move is god awful. Multiple times on the first mission alone i had units struggling to move or attack after I gave them an order. They just kind of paced back and forth or would go super far away then come back. Its just worse than I remember. Also I wish it would zoom out more. I like a birds eye view of things. This game is a bit too close for my RTS prefrence. Idk if it was design limitations of the day or if it was intentional since combat was the main focus of this game. Keeps you in on the action and focused. If it wasnt for that it would be 5 stars. I just dont see how people can give it 4 or even 5 stars with these issues. I get the game is old but still you are paying for it.

Worse than the original
Takes every problem the original had and runs with it, but also removes half the buildings, most of the units, custom civs, and all but 4 or 5 ages that are really not substantially different. Disappointing.

this is the best rts classic game ive ever played and its so good i really really want to see empires down of the modern world 2 i really want to see newer version
