Empire Earth 2 Gold Edition

Even though that the sequel has and I hope will continue to exceed my expectations, I believe the first one was quite more interesting. For example, when you were in the Prehistoric Age, people couldn't talk, but on this game they can talk from beginning to end. Plus the AI is a whole lot easier. Don't get me wrong it does take a while to overcome the AI's forces but when you do it, you feel you did not accomplish as much as you hoped. So that leaves me standing with a 4/5.

I love this game. It is complicated, but worth learning, I started playing this game when it came out; I've even used this game with fellow businessmen to demonstrate concepts of strategy. No other game, in my opinion, gives the best opportunity to practice strategy and operations. Warning: If you are looking for tactics, and instant gratification, this is not your game. This one times patience and skill.

Do it! This was the most awesome of games for a time, back when I had Windows XP (though it was an old computer so i didn't have the best graphics). On getting Vista, I tried installing it and BAM, it didn't work.... On stumbling on this site, I was amazed. I still kinda am. I'm sooo glad someone thought to make it compatible for new versions of Windows. It was and is an awesome game - definately worth buying! :)
