DYSMANTLE

I am a huge fan of games like The Flame and The Flood, so I decided to give this one a try. Little did I know what I was getting myself into. This game is so incredibly huge that it actually rivals that of Breath of the Wild and Tears of The Kingdom in terms of content. The basic premise of the game is to walk around a post-apocalyptic world disassembling everything you see around you in order to get stronger and obtain parts for crafting. When you start the game you're only able to destroy certain things, but as you upgrade your abilities you're then able to destroy bigger and bigger items, until you can basically can destroy anything and craft anything. The combat in this game is also really great, but starts out a bit clunky. The devs did a great job at making a lot of the enemies really scary to come across in the wild, so it adds a fun level of suspense as you're roaming the world. There are only two things I didn't really like about the game, but they are rather minor. #1. It's hard to know where you are, or where you need to go. This forces you to explore the world a lot more, but it also causes you to get distracted and forget to complete certain tasks. #2. The checkpoint placement is okay, but it hurts a lot when you end up dying when you've wandered far enough from a checkpoint. I would have preferred a more balanced checkpoint system, such as having more access to teleporting to other parts of the map. That being said, I plan on putting well over 100 hours into this game, as well as completing the expansion packs. This game is well worth the price, and I can't recommend it enough!

Прежде всего, разрушать всё и вся - это неожиданно весело и залипательно :) Другие плюсы - убраны раздражающие механики , присущие многим выживачам, типа голода и жажды, разрабы это подчеркнули, и они молодцы. Холод и жара, впрочем, есть, и могут убить, но они очевидно и наглядно привязаны к биомам, логичны и нарастают плавно, так что не имея нужного снаряжения можно заранее понять, куда идти пока не стоит. Цитата из описания: "Вы не умрете от голода. Вы будете становиться все сильнее и откроете постоянные улучшения. Этот мир очень опасен, и, возможно, иногда вам придется отступать. Но в итоге вы всегда будете развиваться." И это истинная правда. Прогресс чувствуется, прогресс виден, развиваться очень приятно. А ещё в игре есть история, Тайна, лор, которые мне было весьма интересно открывать для себя. Мир игры дополняется новыми активностями по мере развития персонажа, и это сюжетно обосновывается. Прокачка, рецепты пищи , крафт предметов и материалов, сельское хозяйство - всё присутствует. И приятный визуальный стиль, кстати :) Никогда не любил выживачи, а вот эта игра получила от меня в 2021 году, наверное, больше внимания, чем любой из ААА-тайтлов.

Survival game on an island where you fight zombie and try to escape. The gameplay is simple : you fight zombies, destroy objects to collect ressources. With those you upgrapes and unlocks weapons & gears. When you die you lost everything you collected and you will have to retrieve it by coming back. The exploration is great, there is always something to do and there is a lot of mysteries and secret to unlocks and discovers. The map is really huge with various biomes and weather necessitating specific equipement. The story is good and pushes you to exploree further on. Some Blackspot : this is a grinding game where you will hit and destroy all the object you found, so it can become quite boring at some point. There are some issue with the automatic locking of ennemies. Took me about 80 hours to complete alone. the story finished and exploration (not fully). I guess the grinding part become less boring in coop. If you're looking for a good coop game with a lot of content go for it.

This game is exactly what I was looking for: it's the game that every mobile zombie game pretends to be in its ads before you find out they're all just generic mobile strategy games. This game is slow at the start but it feels appropriate and it does kinda feel like Dark Souls in its execution but with its own strengths. I've managed to beat the first boss but haven't gone father yet. I only hope that as the game goes on I'll find faster ways to gather weak materials like wood from fences and plant material. The respawning enemies that drop crafting materials is a good way to help people who need to farm low level crafting materials like plastic. I will either add to or review again after I spend more time with the game but I am really absorbed in it, especially since I'm not babysitting my character by managing food, water and sleep. If they are added in please make them optional because they will detract from the fun of the game if I have to look after those needs while fighting and scavenging. Also I love the stylized cartoony art. If I have any complaints it's the slow pace but I suspect survival enthusiasts will enjoy it. I hope this game does keep developing and finishes soon.
