In three distinct campaign episodes hand-crafted from straight outta the '90s, players will battle through an onslaught of mystical backwater cultists, possessed militants and even darker forces and attempt to discover just what lurks beneath the Earth. Featuring a vast arsenal of badass weaponry including sickles, swords, crossbows, rifles, dual-wielded and double barreled shotguns and incredibly necessary grenade and rocket launchers, DUSK brings unapologetic retro action from start to finish.
In addition to the main campaign, DUSK features an Endless Survival Mode, putting you front and center against wave after wave of merciless enemies.
And for those looking for an extra challenge, DUSK also offers the chance to go head to head online to battle your friends in DUSKWorld arena multiplayer, where darkness hosts the worst of humanity in surprising new ways...

A first person shooter. Fight for your survival as you get to the bottom of the horrid actions of a strange cult.
In terms of plot, there isn't really much to see. What is there just gives a decent amount of context at least. There aren't any characters to speak of and the protagonist himself barely has anything to say, but that wouldn't be a problem with this sort of game.
The combat is just really fun. You move incredibly fast, you have insane air control, your weapons are all useful and feel satisfying to use. Each episode has a different pool of enemies and they all put up a good fight in different ways. The levels have interesting layouts and are still hard to get lost in without a map, even the massive ones, and have plenty of secrets for the observant player to sniff out. The maps in each episode all stick to a general theme, and the horror aspect of the game becomes more evident as you progress. Your battles are also augmented by a killer rock soundtrack that really helps get your bloodlust going.
It's a lot of fun to play overall and I'd highly recommend it to fans of first person shooters, especially the 90s variety.
A surprisingly creepy and immersive shooter than displays an impressive variety in environments considering its graphical limitations. Excellent retro-FPS gameplay reminiscent of Blood and Quake.
DUSK isn't a Quake clone, but sits nicely right next to Quake. Slick movement, enemies that force you to consider priorities, vertical stages, weapons that influence strategy, hidden secrets, hidden bonus stages, atmospheric music...feels like 1996 is a very good way. While DUSK's graphics have a similarly blocky polygonal look, the use of color and lighting give the stages their own themes. The soundtrack? Andrew Hulshult cranked out some gems for DUSK. DUSK World adds multiplayer, but goes vacant most of the time. Linux and Mac users are also serviced here. If you're a Quake fan DUSK needs to be in your library.

Dusk is a MASTERPIECE in the "boomer shooter"/retro FPS revival. The speed, precision, and skill are top notch, gunplay is amazing, level design is great, atmosphere is on point, and its overall just a blast. If you are remotely into FPS games, Dusk is a MUST OWN!
