Such an incredible classic. For all those who are having issues in windows 7, it's all fixable. Run in compatibility mode and test with different settings. In my case, it would crash with highest resolution but it runs perfect in 600x800.

This is one of my favorite games of ALL times. I see a lot of people complaining that it doesn't work in Windows 7 but that's the ONLY reason I'm using Windows 7. Microsoft straight up removed some of my favorite features from Windows XP with Win7 but I can't play any old games in Windows XP at all. With Windows 7, all you have to do is make a shortcut and use the Windows XP compatibility mode. Which seems really weird to me. For me it crashes on startup every time when I run in in WinXP. But if I run it in Win7 with WinXP compatibility, it runs great.

Game crashes constantly during game-play, clicking buttons, or trying to save a game before it crashes ironically. Love the game which makes this a much bigger disappointment.

Why is everyone fussing about it not working on Win7? Just got it and it works flawlessly.

I really like this game and bought it as soon as it came out but it has so many problems. In the original game while playing My Pet Dungeon you could take heroes out of the box and place them straight in the prison, in this version you have to fight them. I was playing this game on my Vista PC (which was designed for gaming) and as soon as a fight breaks out the game stops working. The game works better on my 7 Laptop (not designed for gaming) but still has these issues after playing for a while or when there is too much action on the screen. It can't be the game because Rollercoaster Tycoon works perfectly fine on both machines. This is one of my all time top favourite games but is close to unplayable, it needs fixing. I would suggest waiting until the game gets patched before buying it. Trust me if that happens it would have been worth the wait. Once this is no-problem playable game it will be a 5 star game.
