In 2025 its great value for your money
Is a quite good immersive sim. I would give it 4.5 stars if GOG had allowed me to do it. I remember when it was released many trashed it 'cos the main game was too short. First playing it in 2025 I didn't fell it was too short. Maybe is a few levels short compared to the typical immersive sim, but if you like to explore those levels are quite meaty. Maybe if you go guns blazing straight for the main quest is a different tale. But I'm play these games in a stealthy, no unneeded deaths, explore-everywhere fashion. The story is reasonably engaging and the setting is quite cool. It has some personal drama and some political intrigue. I think the whole thing is well crafted. The mechanics are interesting, fun and convenient. May be they could have been a little deeper. I read critiques saying some mechanics stream-line or even dumbed down the gameplay. But I had been dragging unconscious bodies to the pile since the first Thief, so I welcome with open arms any help with that and another chores from the genre. The last DLC "The Brigmore Witches", is quite good and it is more challenging IMO. In particular, I guessing the very last mission without a charm named "Statuesque" can be a PITA.
