Not sure what to do
(1) stuck in game, after examing the hanging corpse. Not sure how to proceed; no hint / vague hint. May be English is my second language, or I just don't get what the game is telling me to do. (2) story is slow and dull. Lost interest in the game quickly.

10/10 High Concept Game...
I love this game, everything about it. I brought it on Mac, PC and Switch. And yet... On recent GOG playthrough, it's like all of the bugs have hiding for the past four years for me until now. Thought Cabinet doesn't give bonuses, bugged dialogs (from a game from 2018...plenty of time to atleast address them). It's nothing game breaking but it sours my experience greatly. And now I had my game crash when I was talking to the Gary, The BackPeddler.

Good, but could have been so much more
The game starts of brilliantly and the first 75% of the game had me completely hooked. However just as it's largest influence Planescape Torment, Disco Elysium falls slightly apart during the last 25% of the story. The conclusion left me slightly disappointed and I found some of it quite silly after the story being so serious for 90% of the game (like the Game of Thrones conclusion but not as bad). The second area is also a drop in quality but not terrible overall. The mechanics are unique and work well overall (although it is difficult to say at the beginning of the game which skills do what). RNG still plays a role in all situations but in an RPG it is fine (I was lucky and managed to pass 4 impossible checks in my playthrough). I recommend not reloading when failing checks as almost all failed checks can be either retried or solved differently. The humour is hit and miss for me. Some of it was genuinely funny other times I felt it was somewhat forced. I did not care for the political view choices in many dialogues either. In some cases they added to the experience. However I wanted to play an apolitical character focusing on the case and nothing else. This was not possible as being apolitical often meant that you agreed with the spoken dialogue (so I had a character who was a real populist, agreeing with whatever for political gains - instead of a neutral observer). Also some of the dialogue was forced in situations where it did not belong. Finally, I think that using existing languages and references to existing locations subtracts from the immersion. If you can speak Dutch, German, French, Spanish and have some understanding of some Slavic words the immersion is quickly lost as you asociate names and places with existing events and countries. This also means that you project your own knowledge into the game, which in my opinon should defintely no the aim. Unique at time brilliant, but so flawed. Like the detective.
