Diablo 1 HD Mod (Belzebub)

The mod is fully playable in English. For other supported languages, localization is partial: while all UI elements remain in English, lore documents and quest content are translated.
Belzebub, or Diablo I HD Mod, is a complex modification for the first installment of the Diablo series, which introduces a number of interesting improvements to the gameplay, a lot of new content and - most importantly - increased resolution.
Belzebub enriches the cult Diablo series with a real mass of intriguing content, presenting it all in HD resolution. The modification adds new locations, missions, spells, skills and monsters, 204 unique items, 170 crafting recipes, several new character classes (Warrior, Sorcerer, Rogue, Necromancer or Barbarian), 28 sets and 105 set items, four difficulty levels available in the single player mode, as well as a host of other gameplay improvements. The developer has also thought of a few additions in terms of interface, support for widescreen, and - as we have already mentioned - full integration with the new Windows systems. There is no denying that there is a lot to it, so every fan of the series, especially of the ‘one’, will undoubtedly not pass by this modification indifferently.

Diablo 1 HD mod Belzebub
Unplayable on normal difficulty in certain locations. Terribly poor selection of items like weapons etc. Items are constantly dropping that are totally useless. Leveling extremely slow. I played the original game at least 500 times but this is really hardcore

Yes of course, why not? Since playing is so good it has to be admitted that this is one of the bests mod for this game. A lot of new contnent, characters and even crafting... which i didnt check out yet. Many minor bugs, path finding for skeletons, etc etc. Still some work to do. 6+//10

Everything I could want from Diablo, but
This has become the only way for me to play Diablo 1. It is really good and I never know where to start when I want to recommend it to people just because of the sheer amount of content this mod has. Only thing I wish is that the Hellfire content was included. I want the Oils back that apply a permanent +1 to weapon Damage and Hit chance, I want the Hive levels back, those were my favorite Dungeons in Diablo, The Traps can be reworked to instead be Rune Stones that, like the Oils, can apply extra Elemental Damage to weapons and Defense to Armors, I want the Monk class back, reworked with abilities focused around unarmed fighting and staff fighting (could add fist weapons like Cestuses that make use of the Unarmed Attack animations that the characters have but no sane player would ever see because you need to not have a weapon equipped to see them normally) - and since each class has a "Dark Mirror" version of them in this mod, perhaps the Monk's counterpart can be a Rakshasa that can shapeshift into various Demons (I would have suggested Druid but there aren't exactly any animal/were sprites to work with). That's all I feel is missing to make this the perfect version of Diablo 1.

Needs a patch asap!
- Unbalanced difficulty levels - Saving issues - Compatibility problems and crashes - dozens of minor bugs, like path finding etc...
