Diablo + Hellfire

From the Matt Uelmen compositions, to the gritty helplessness of the town this game grabs you and will not let you go. This is one of the first games I played with my dad - the other being Might and Magic 6, which started me on the love for games. Nowadays I do not play much. Little has had this much pull on me.

The Archbishop Lazarus, he led us down here to find the lost prince. The bastard led us into a trap!!!*WHEEZE* Now everyone is dead...killed by a demon he called the Butcher. Avenge us! Find this Butcher and slay him so that our souls may finally rest...*DEATH RATTLE!*

Diablo is a classic in every sense of the world. It's one of the games that defined an entire genre, with people still calling isometric action RPGs Diablo clones to this day. It does show its age, and there is a particular project titled The Hell 2, which updates it and adds a bunch of features. Things like moving at double speed a la Hellfire when not in combat, scads of classes, higher frame rates so frames aren't dropped at higher attack speeds. It reinvigorates an old classic while keeping the delightful atmosphere of the original.

Купил Diablo на волне увлечения старыми классическими РПГ и ни разу не пожалел. Игра порадовала многочисленными и, что не мало важно, разнообразными противниками, процедурная генерация локаций повышает реиграбельность в разы, а их декорации отлично воспроизводят ощущение постепенного спуска в Ад. Сложность у игры достаточно высока даже если вы выставите ее на минимум, потому будьте готовы, что помирать придется не раз, а save-and-load может стать обычным делом. Несмотря на наличие всего четырех базовых характеристик, бездумная прокачка ни к чему хорошему не приведет, каждый класс требует свой подход и свою тактику боя. Если же вам хочется еще большего разнообразия врагов, более серьезных испытаний и еще больше играбельных классов, очень советую установить мод The Hell 2. Уверен, вы не пожалеете.
