Instant classic

I own this game on Steam and I think it's one of the best games of all time. I love it's minimalistic approach to mechanics which manages to feel complete even with a single dual-mode weapon. It's a skill-based game for high score junkies, so some people might find it repetitive and difficult. Graphics are superb and emulate Quake's software renderer style nicely, although I wish there was a way to change resolution, especially to change pixel aspect ratio and possibly run it at era-accurate resolutions like 320x200. The developer is supposedly trying to add in ability to play offline, so GOG release should be functional without having to log in anywhere soon, and I'm preemptively giving a positive review because of that. I hope this game shows up on GOG connect.

Addictive.

Even though I suck at this game, this game feels right, the graphics, the sound, the movement, it's a highly addictive game, the difficulty is very high, so be warned

Boring.

You'll play this a few times and last less than a minute and most of the time you won't know why. You'll play a few more times and shoot the same things with the same gun and then, you may continue to survive a few more games for a a minute or too, and then you may uninstall it like me. In short, this seems like a simplistic, yet difficult waste of time.

Dull

FPS with swarms of enemies in an hellish atmosphere? Sounds great to me! But is it? Well, there is so little content, repeated over and over ad nauseam that it instead of being pleasant, it's just dull. Same for the gameplay, it's an infinite arena where you've roughly seen everything in a few minutes. Trying to stay alive a few more seconds at each run by enduring and discovering new techniques gives a sense of achievement in good games. Not in this game, it's not really enjoyable. I really wanted to like this game. Maybe I was expecting too much, but nothing really makes it interesting. It looks like a demoscene-era 4KB game, at least it would be interesting technically, but it's not, and it's not fun.
