Deus Ex™ GOTY Edition

Deus ex is a sci-fi cyberpunk shooter with roleplaying elements, which was miles ahead of it's time. The atmosphere of the world is amazing, like the synthie soundtrack. The first time you play Deus Ex is extraordinary. At least I tried the revision version. I chose difficulty easy to find out that it was hard especially in the beginning of the game without or few cybermodules installed. The new graphics are beautiful, but too me revision seems to be for veterans. In the maps Hong Kong, in the sewer of Paris and in the submarine base I got lost. I ran around for hours to find a temple, a special door and some bad to see switches. In the end I needed the help of youtube videos to get out of it. The game is very old school: there is no ingame map which shows the location only photographic maps. A feature no one will miss to nowadays standards. I think, there are better and more fun titles out now, which didn't stop the game flow. One time I needed a cheat to get through a special door, probably an error. Thanks god for implementing cheats. Don't get me wrong: deus ex is a must play, but I found it more and more tedious playing it again over the years.

One of the greatest games ever made. You cannot go wrong buying and playing this.

Any game that forces you to look up a guide or can soft lock you, is terrible. After the slog of getting to Hong Kong and spending an hour or so just looking around, I thought to myself "Im bored and this game is terrible". If you haven't played this before, save yourself that experience and go play something actually fun.

Can't see a thing. Brightnrss controller doesn't work. Unwilling to futz with all the mods, special boot loaders, and/or direct x hacks posted on line needed to fix it.
