Better graphics =/= Better game
It is clear that this game wanted to put a fresh paint coat to Desperados, with newer and better graphics and for a 2006 game it looks amazing. HOWEVER, this game has several issues 1. AI in general is HORRIBLE. If you played D1 you know that guards were smart, they got suspicious if other guards disappeared, they were constantly looking around, using the same trick several times wouldn't fool them, etc. Not here, the AI is ver stupid to the point you can walk right next to them and they won't care 2. Pathfinding is wack. If you have any other character in front of you, your PC will get stuck 3. Bad cutscenes. Remember what I said about graphics? Well, they ran out of budget to do good cutscenes it seems, because they're static 4. "Pablo Sánchez, tú!" What have they done to my boi Sánchez?! He wasn't smart in the first game but here he dumber than a toddler! 5. It's a wild west shooter, not a strategy game. The game is not well designed, to the point the best strategy is just go around shooting all the guards 6. Only Katie and Doc are actually useful because of how broken seducing is and Doc's shooting Few upsides: 1. The story is better except for a few parts that is told how it's told... the first game didn't shine for its story so this is just a minor point 2. Shooting is fun, being able to go from isometric view to shoulder camera makes shooting fun 3. Cliffhanger. The overall story has an ending, but a certain event makes you want to play the next game Do I recommend? Uhhh... yes and no. If you're fan of Desperados give it a try. If you just want a Shadow Tactics kind of game, go play another thing. I don't think this game is a 1 star, but it's definitely not good. It's not attrocious, it's just... mediocre.
