Another RNG plagued game

Okay, I think I might be getting jaded over these rogue like games where RNG is the main mechanic. This is not gaming... this is just gambling. The game is not terrible, but it is held back by an obvious lack of QA polish by the Dev. Just a little more effort would make the world more alive but I think the theme is boring and deadly so maybe the dev just wants a dead world as part of the atmosphere. Trying to press your luck and RNG can ruin you in a single go... standard fare for a rogue like I guess... I just don't like that options, equipment, skills, & cards are arbitrary all the time. You can clearly be equiped to outclass an encounter yet just be so unlucky that you fail every roll, get weak attack cards and wind up losing a party member because the game decided that the group of 5 enemies you are fighting gets to go two time at the start with all attacks being AOE and very damaging. Another game where skill is not how you win. You win by hedging your bets... grind up and stack your decks. This is not gaming, it's just gambling... and maybe that is why these games get more attention than they deserve. Get this on discount, you should less dissapointed.

The idea is solid, but

Dungeon crawler and turn based combat rpg that uses cards as attacks and skills, the idea is to manage your energy and health to last as much as possible before you have to retreat to lick your wounds, The dungeon crawling is minimalistic since you move in a minimap until you find a point of interest, the combat van get challenging with a myriad of buffs and debuffs so you better pack a wide variety of skills, but it also can get repetitive. The presentation shines with 2d art with strong lines, but lacks contrast, with predominantly neutral and dark colors, the music is very nice and helps to easy the repetitiveness of the game. I was enjoying the game until I found out the character level cap is 10 and you cannot gain any more skill points; with 10 profession skills + 6 specialization skills that can go up to level 3, the game will leave you starved for skill points, and if you don't know this before playing you can get a pretty screwed up character with no respec option. I'm not the kind of man that replays a game, let alone a game that leaves you with a feeling of unfillment. I also found a couple of bugs and a crash on launch So yeah, I can see the greatness of the game, but the repetitiveness and the half baked characters will leave you wishing for a better version of the game.

Lots of potential

This is a dark-scifi dungeon crawler / gogue lite / adventure crossbreed. Nice comic-book-style artwork, gloomy soundtrack and challenging gameplay. Yet... in it´s momentary state the game is short. You get a few campaign missions and an arena-mode (pitted fights against increasing opposition). In more or less a day you will have seen all the game has to offer a t m. Still this is fair bargain because you get a day full of wonderful and immersive entertainment (for less money than you would spend taking your girl to the movies) I would love to see this game finished and hope the devs are gonna deliver

Good start but fast Repetive and boring

after mission 2or 3 i was so bored only the progresson keept me going and after reaching lvl 10 what is already max it was even more boring because fights give not longer progression and just items that i dont need 99% is junk and i had already like 200k nothing to buy nothing to farm no way of progression just fight that take time and are boring cause i builded up a buff strat to 1 guy that almost one tapt everything no real fights then after boring hours of running around searching all up i got into a fight with 1 robo that just shreds u 80% dmg reduction and stunres and he uses 3 card at once aoe that have stunchance also fears ur team so basicly sometimes he uses 9 cards in row while u team sometimes does nothing causeof fear idk what this kinda difficulty spike idea behind it was but all it made it was making me quit going all from one shot other to get stun/fear locket all the way no sorry thats a no go balancing wise

Not bad, if you like that sort of thing

Got this on sale, and no regrets, but it is pretty limited. This is hack and slash dungeon exploring IN SPACE. No story, no real RPG elements (you do get to choose character upgrades when they level). Lots of gear variations and ways to approach building a combat persona. Going to be either heaven or hell for min-maxers and obsessive compulsives. I liked the energy use mechanic, though by the mid-late game it's more of an annoyance than anything. And there is an unfortunate sameness to the places you explore, the foes you fight, and the way you fight them in any given playthrough. The game ended at the right time for me. BTW, the developers are non-native english speakers, which creates the occassional weird bit of dialogue or description. Nothing awful, just...off.
