Death From Above is a short, about 90 minutes long, single-player arcade-style drone game set during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. You will play as a Ukrainian military drone operator who fights enemy forces, salvages valuable equipment, and restores crucial communication lines disrupted by the conflict.
But that's not all. What sets Death From Above apart is that it's not just a game but also a means to make an impact!
30% of the net proceeds will be equally split between two Ukrainian organizations supporting non-offensive aid to the Ukrainian Armed forces: Come Back Alive and Army of Drones. This way, you can feel confident that your purchase contributes to a worthy cause. Once we’ve broken even on the game, we will increase this contribution, sending 70% of our net revenues to these good causes. The remaining 30% will be invested in further developing the game.
And your Death From Above experience doesn't have to end when you hang up your drone for the day. Take the amazing soundtrack with you and experience the sounds of Ukraine wherever you go. The special soundtrack DLC includes three songs from Ukrainian artists, Antytila, Surface Tension, and Odarka, with their own unique styles. Interplay between operator and Drone
After you deplete your drone's ammo, you must return to your operator's position to rearm. Risk trekking deeper into enemy territory for a quick and easy top-up, or stay at a distance to assure your survival!
Clear the Ukrainian steppe of Russian invaders!
Seek out, bomb, and destroy HQ camps, vehicles, and military depots; stay focused, and switch between top-down and third-person perspectives to maximize your impact!
Take over control towers to restore communication lines!
Patrol the area, neutralize defenses, then bring in the operator for a successful mission!

They specialize in aerial reconnaissance and drone warfare, aiming to improve situational and battlefield awareness and cybersecurity. They design drones and train operators on the best deployment techniques. They are also involved in developing centralized data gathering and processing centers to support Ukraine's security and defense efforts
“Gis Arta” is a Ukrainian military software developer that creates battlefield management systems to, among other things, help the Ukrainian army control and deploy drones.
These organizations will offer us their expertise in drone warfare and help us realize our vision for Death From Above in the best way possible.

“Come Back Alive” is the biggest Foundation providing competent assistance to Ukrainian defenders since 2014. Their goal is to preserve the lives of Ukrainian defenders in the face of an invading force by purchasing the necessary equipment and delivering it to the frontlines so that they can save civil lives. The foundation supplies thermal imaging devices, generators, radios, GPS navigators, UAVs, cars, body armor, and protective, communication, and intelligence equipment. The foundation’s instructors train the military in controlling drones, mine safety, and tactical medicine.
“Army of Drones” is a joint comprehensive project of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Special Communications Service, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which organizes and conducts procurement of UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), supply them to the military, train operators to fly drones and support Ukrainian startups and manufacturers in the field of UAVs to develop the military-tech sector in Ukraine.

We’re incredibly proud of the Ukrainian artists which have contributed to Death From Above - their support and passion is inspiring.
In this special soundtrack DLC you can experience the raw, driving rock of Antytila, in what they have described as “probably the most heavy song in our discography” - the titular Death From Above, created especially for our game. All three versions of this anthem are featured here - English, Ukrainian and instrumental.
You’ll also be getting Zavtra from the mighty Surface Tension, a perfect 5 minutes of bouncy guitar which grabs you by the back of your neck and doesn’t let go; and the hauntingly beautiful За тобою from Odarka Zyrko - a slice of electro-folk which will follow you into your dreams.
You’ll also be contributing directly to the defense of Ukraine by supporting our charity partners, the Army of Drones and Come Back Alive.

This Skin Pack features two skins for the Drone and Operator:

You can choose the skins from the Drone and Pilot Customization screen before you start a run of the game.
It doesn't take long to get to the credits, but I was well entertained during this time. The gameplay is pretty casual and the enemy AI is hardly worth mentioning. You slowly fight your way across a small map with your drone and gradually take out the Russian units and soldiers by dropping explosives on them. When you finish the game, you also unlock a New Game+ mode.
Thanks to the Unreal Engine, the graphics are also quite respectable, but rather functional and not a highlight.
In total, I needed about 2.5 hours for my first playthrough. Some would say that's too little for the price. But I see it as a donation to the Ukraine with this nice little game from a small team as a bonus.
You have to decide for yourself.
I am glad that the game is now available on GOG.

I support independent developers and I like the idea of neutralising terrorists. Today, the terrorists in the game are the people who started an unjustified war against Ukraine in 2014 (and then openly in 2022). Russia's war must stop both in the game and in the real world.
I hope the project will continue to improve. Independent developers are the best, and they need our support.
This should have been a stand alone game about drones in war zones in general. Not a pro Ukraine propaganda game. Well done GOG. Isnt GOG from poland, no wonder? Well, I will never buy a single game on your platfrom ever again! I still regret I have ever spent money on here.
By buying this game you are sponsoring terrorists and literal nazis. From now on GOG officially supports both. Just "can't wait" to see games about how "good german nazis" killing "bad-bad jews" from ghetto, about how "civilized Israel" genocide "barbarian palestinians" and "noble Americans" killing "not free enough" civilians in Iraq after false accusations.
