Defeat doesn’t mean permadeath, but there is a price to pay: Every time a warrior falls, it means a grave wound, a stat penalty, and weakening your squad.
Hope is a rare commodity in a world ruined by Calamity, good thing these heroes are filled to the brim.

The game is definitely a love letter to classic Fire Emblem. It has a lot of good qualities that make it phenomenal BUT it has a lot of bugs, the existing tutorials are TERRIBLE, the numbers displaying on screen are not the actual damage, the stats require too much time to understand... To that you add that the weapon system is complex with cero explanation and the game goes from amazing to just good. I hope the developers fix all this and improve explanations, because I really want to love it.
Save often. Characters will become unselectable or go invisible every few missions. Some of the missions can be tedious, but most are pretty fun.
Class balance is all over the place. Some of them are amazing, others you'll brick your characters picking. The game throws enough people at you that you can easily make up for it and run good classes. The interface is far from intuitive and has almost no tutorial, they seem to assume that you've played FE.
If you have, you'll find this a simpler version of it. Definitely worth the pickup if you find a deep sale or get it from free off Twitch Prime.
Simple (as expected of gamemaker based games) but fun to play, sort of like an interactive novel but with retro nes inspired combat scenarios to win between each cutscene/novel chapter, with unit upgrade/development/managemenet between missions and novel scenes. Relaxing casual game.
I admit that this game has taken me by suprise. It is actually quite good.
The strategy elements are sound and the gameplay is fun.
Only thing I would have liked is a bit more explanation of their rpg terms as I still don't quite get what I should be building but it is amusing none the less.
