Cyberpunk 2077

At this point, the game's horrendous bugs and crashes have not only been well documented but also turned into countless memes. Yet despite the game's jaw-dropping software quality (which I do believe will get fixed, given that even Polish government regulators are now on CDPR's tail), in my opinion it is only the tip of the iceberg. The marketing hype of this game led people to believe that it was going to be a GTA5+Witcher 3 hybrid style masterpiece, but while it legitimately showcases top-notch industry-leading achievements in many aspects, I'm afraid it will never evolve into the game the mass public imagined (or CDPR envisioned). There are too many design flaws that are so ingrained into the game that they just can't be fixed without significantly overhauling the game (which obviously won't happen). Not to mention CDPR's sweet, under-delivered/un-delivered promises, which are arguably even greater issues. For those trusting GOG's refund policies, be aware that their customer support still delays heavily in responding, and in my case when they agreed to refund, they insist on returning my money to my GOG wallet and constantly ignore my repeated requests of refunding via my original payment method with zero explanation. As a result I still haven't got my refund, nearly 2 months after asking for it. I shall forever cherish the vivid memories of playing the Witcher series. Cyberpunk 2077, on the other hand, taught me to be a fan only of specific products, not entire companies, and never again pre-order games based on pure trust. For interested customers, I strongly suggest you wait the storm out and try the game after all updates and expansions are out, preferrably in the form of a GOTY version just like Witcher 3. I know you might itch badly, but your patience will be rewarded. For the frontline grunts of CDPR, I'm sorry and sincerely hope you enjoy a happier career in the future. For CDPR's execs who are responsible for this mess, go plough yourselves.

One of the most disappointing games I've ever experienced. Not worth the time and/or money. Maybe five years down the road at bottom of the bargain bin prices.

This game taught me a lesson that not to pre-ordered any games ever again.

Cyberpunk 2077 I can sum it up as a disappointing experience. After waiting a while I decided to buy the game for PC because many people said that it did not have so many bugs, and it was better optimized. Taking advantage of the fact that I have a powerful PC that allows me to run the game in Ultra and with RTX activated. I got hold of the game almost without thinking. But to my surprise I have encountered more bugs than I expected. I have seen almost everything: NPC that float in the air or are buried in the ground, NPC that remain disoriented and do not attack me even though I am close to them, doors, or it seems that I can go through and that allow me to see the insides of the game, cars and bikes that drive terrible (I think it's the worst driving experience I've had in a long time), NPC that can't get over a simple obstacle if I leave the car close to the road, one cop that I can mislead scandalously easy and another pair that are not so serious. I honestly don't remember playing a video game with so many problems. Which leads me to think that for Cyberpunk 2077 to reach an acceptable point it will take many months of development and optimization. At the moment I do not recommend this game on PC. Well, it has an interesting story though. Being riddled with bugs makes the experience less than good.

I was skeptical of 2077 from the start, but it takes a lot of effort to mess up this badly. The core gameplay is decent enough, shooting stuff, driving around, it feels fine, but nothing spectacular. The world design is great, but unfortunately it's all weighed down by so, so many issues. This is, mind you, after a bunch of patches. The graphics (high/ultra mix, fwiw) can be spot on, or extremely lacking depending on area, wall textures are often glitchy, clipping is common. It very much jumps from one extreme to the other. Animations are fine, but they sometimes get stuck leading to static NPC's who are actively talking, but not moving. I've had several instances of the in game text messages not displaying correctly, the HUD showing phone calls that are not active, spoken dialogue between characters overlapping and playing all at once, leading to conversations between 2 people I literally could not understand. In one quest, the quest giver phoned me saying I was abandoning the mission before I technically started it. The stealth sucks, enemies have that old lightswitch hivemind AI, where they are either entirely oblivious to your presence, or are all on high alert and know where you are immediately. Sometimes they can detect you through solid objects. The weapons dont really work well enough for stealth, since the minute you fire, even with a silencer, it usually leads to detection. A few hours in, the game decided that my upright position was now my crouch position, meaning I was always walking at crouching speed no matter if I was actually crouched. Even more fun, actually crouching made it even slower, so if I wanted to stay behind cover and move, it was at about 1/4th of my normal walking speed (which is already slow). I also couldn't sprint. Every time I try to play, something goes wrong. It's quite literally unplayable. I want to like this game, but it won't let me play it.
