Cyberpunk 2077

i feel like CDPR should honeslty give up on the hype machine or start backing it up. I havent been this dissapointed in a cyberpunk game since cyber generation.

Visuals are great, the main story is interesting, and that's the end of positives. It really feels like it is an early access release, the game has potential, but it just is not finished. The world feels dead, driving is bad, character movement needs a lot more polish, constant visual glitches, repetitive quests, and more. I hope CDPR will continue to repair a game because they have a gem in their hands that just needs more work.

Game didn't live to it's hype, but not because of the bugs, glitches and false marketing. It was supposed to be the next great rpg, but when you look at the roleplaying aspect: 1. You play as the mercenary V, and the only thing you have to say about it is how much of an "edgelord" you are. You will thank an old lady for old fashioned jacket that may not even suit your style, but you'll put it anyway. And will be an "small-time kleptopunk from the afterlife" no matter what you wear and who you think you are. 2. The customization part takes place at the start and stats it, equipment system feels more than a neccessary nuisance than anything else. There's many different types of clothing, so there is some choice in the matter, but the old not so good "do i like good, or have good stats" problem is very much present here. 3. The world is great, diverse and just wants you to explore. Until you relize that it's just looks good, but is just empty inside. There's not much to do besides the next task, the next mission, the next gig... The story is great and memorable, often gets emotional and the absolute gem of this title - soundtrack just makes it even better. Some parts of the story and certain characters presence and development fells rushed or cut, and leave a feeling that there could be much more to it than it is. And that is the overall felling I've got after playing 2 times, and overall of ~130h

Nowhere near what CD Projekt RED promised, nowhere near what everyone expected. Did you watch the trailers for this game and got excited? Good. That's your CP2077 experience; playing the game will only diminish it. After over 20 hours this game is E M P T Y. There is a linear campaign with nice, but railroady storytelling, full of exciting scripted events that feel like they should be part of the game, but they aren't, cause the devs didn't get enough time. You can't even SIT beyond scripted moments in the campaign. Wanna play open world game? Play GTA, RDR, F:NV or anything from TES franchise. CP2077 never even got there.

Stepping into the cyberpunk world you can tell just how much love this game was started with, the ambitions the developers had in creating it. However it falls short on so many aspects and while we all are waiting for fixes, I fear some of these problems may be "Unfixable" at least without significant money and effort. First the good, the game is gorgeous (on systems that can take advantage of it). The characters when fleshed out really pull you into the story of the game. This game is astonishingly wide but very shallow, as in there are many many things to do but not a lot to do with them. Now for what needs improvement. Besides the many bugs and glitches that many others have pointed out. The city is dead, the npc's that you are not directly supposed to interact with in the story are completely lifeless and seem to have one of 3 walking models. This game gives the feeling of a extremely rushed development at the end as there are many interesting plot points (Braindancing) that are terribly underused. While you develop relationships with characters through missions, there is little you can do to interact with them outside of that. The AI of NPC's is one of the worst iterations I have encountered in a long time. Police, Enemy gangs, friendly gangs all alike will get suspcious of you just being in the vicinity. The police chases are a joke. The game does very little to distinguish between most of the gangs so I find myself blasting first and asking question later. This game has the base to be a generation defining game. However its scale may work against it at this point because while the game is VAST, the problems inherent in almost every system too become vast. I fear this may require too much money and work to fix in a reasonable amount of time. CD PROJEKT RED earned this disaster when they over-hyped an unfinished game. Hopefully next time they can under-hype/over-deliver.
