Cyberpunk 2077

Ok, the game's launch has been terrible, I was one of the first disapointed. Yet, if I look back on it and almost 6 month after, I can say this : this game is simply beautiful. Sure there is some bugs, but I do hope patch will correct this entirely as soon as possible, because never before a game makes me feel what I felt while playing CP2077. The story is absolutely heart-taking and heart-breaking, really moving and at the end, when I've finished the game... I was simply empty : empty about what happened, empty about having finish this game. Maybe the story was a little bit short, romance is clearly not amazing, characters are not my favorite even though some of them were really interesting or emotional... but this game makes me wonder about myself, life and death, my bond with the others around me... The atmosphere of the game is beautifuly-written, the city -i played with a good computer tho- is absolutely stunning... I think this game has been simply lauched way too early. But give it time, I'm sure that, when everything will be ok ( gameplay, bugs etc ) Cyberpunk 2077 will be a trully amazing game. All it needs is a little more time.

When it worked, the game was quite fun, however with the new 1.6 patch causing constant crashes and CDPR own announcement of cutting future support for Windows 7 (while developing future DLC to sell for this game) has made me make up my mind. The one star here is not just for this game but also my disappointed towards the new CDPR attitude of which seem to place making good games way behind making profit. Perhaps in few years in the future those problems will be solved but until then I simply can't support or buy games made by CDPR out of my own conciseness (and that's coming from someone who did per-ordered the Witcher games and the Cyberpunk).

Game ended for me in from of Dex's booth door that won't open. A bug reported first in 2022, fully blocking any further progress of the gave and still not fixed and no way around it from developers. Countless other small bugs i've spotted even before getting to this door, which is a middle of Act 1 of the game makes me think that this game will never be fixed.

I bought this game a while back on discount, had a bit of fun with the early stages of the game, but decided to put it aside on hearing the massive 2.0 patch was going to overhaul huge swathes of the game. Patch 2.0 is here - and the game I was getting good performance from ~3 months ago now will not launch at all. I've tried uninstalling, scouring all trace of mods and old saves off my hard drive, using a set of drivers that were released TODAY with THIS GAME all over the marketing, nothing. I can't get to the title screen. most annoyingly, I'd just pre-ordered the expansion pack after rave reviews so I'm now in the hole for the price I paid for this and an extra £25. Hearing a lot of professional reviewers eulogize about how far this came has come since the notorious launch but this patch for me has taken it from a 7/10 game, quite fun, atmospheric.... to just a big blog of 55GB junk data on my SSD.
