Cuphead
Описание
Cuphead — это классический платформер, основным элементом которого являются битвы с боссами. Главным источником вдохновения для разработчиков стали мультфильмы 1930-х годов. В процессе создания игры применялись такие аутентичные техники, как целлулоидная анимация и акварельные фоны, а в качестве звукового сопровождения были специально записаны оригинальные джазовые композиции.
Вместе с Капхедом или Магменом (в одиночном или совместном режиме) вы отправитесь в путешествие по необычным мирам — там вы будете приобретать различное оружие, изучать мощнейшие удары и раскрывать секреты. И все это для того, чтобы вернуть долг самому дьяволу!

Cuphead made me feel more good and more bad than any other game I've played in the last several years. I swore, laughed, and hollered with delight. I hated it (and my own fingers) for long stretches but, having finished, I realise that's more or less the point – I emerged from all that pain smiling. Rather than simply offering the player what they want, Cuphead makes them earn that right – the rewards, if you can hack the tests, are absolutely worth it. Cuphead is incredible for more than just its looks. But before you dive in, make sure you actually want a game that plays like this, and not just a game that looks like this.

Horrendous controls menu
I can't play the game because of the horrendous Controls menu. I tried JoyToKey, online tutorials, with no success.

It's not THAT great
I don't get why people are saying this game is so good. The controls aren't precise enough for the amount of precision the game demands, there is a distinct element of randomness to many of the fights, bosses can hit-and kill you-AFTER they've been defeated, and the hit zones on many things are wonky due to the way the animations work. The old school cartoony soundtrack and sound effects are MURDER on your ears. If you think modern cartoons sound terrible, wait til you hear old school cartoon sound effects. The best way to think of this game is like the Dark Souls 2 of the Souls franchise: it's good, but there are definite issues. The only thing the game really has going for it is the charming art style, but it gets old fast. If you think the idea the refighting bosses over and over again in Souls sounds horrible, stay AWAY from Cuphead. At least in Souls refighting bosses can be fun. Here you can get hit by a missile obscured by foreground art which is just infuriating and cheap.
