More shooter than jump'n'run

Cuphead ImageIt's a fine enough game. I was hoping the developers would have put more emphasis on actual platforming. This game is more related to a shooter like Contra rather than a jump'n'run game. It consists mainly of Boss Fights, and the emphasis is on memorization of enemy patterns and basically trial & error. It's very old school, and by that I don't mean by design but how unforgiving and how little lives you have. I don't know if it's really for casual players, maybe for those who will find the art style entertaining enough to sustain them till the end. But if you strip the game down to it's bones, it's just a mediocre shooter with amazing visuals.

Phenomenal Game

Just a warning for anyone who wants to play this game: This. Game. Is. HARD! It has made me rage more times than I can count (until I got fairly good at it), but I keep coming back for more. Why? Good graphics Super responsive controls Excellent music (I love ragtime!) Great art style Technically a boss rush (give or take a few levels) And most of all, the satisfaction that I get when I finally get past a level that had me really struggling. If you want to have a fun time, definitely pick this game up, but be prepared for a really hard slog! I only have one problem with the game, and that's the fact that I got it on Steam, but I can't get it at a discount here, which is essentially forcing me to pay double the price to play it offline. REALLY?!

This is a awesome game, its a little bit hard but thats no problem i still love this game ITS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely recommend it to you!!!😍😎🤣😁 PS: I love GOG.com and GOG galaxy thats the best store and launcher in the WORLD!!!! :D

Great game at a great price

So the price is excellent for this title and now there is a DLC that is also fairly cheap too and has a lot of fun in it. To me the game isn't to hard but It can be difficult. The boss fights are extremely fun and learning the patterns to beat them is great design along with the obvious amazing art style. 5/5 recommend.

Awesome game!

This game is awesome. The art style is great, the music is lovely and the difficulty is satisfying (when you finally beat a boss or a level). The only thing keeping me from giving the game 5 stars is, that when I connect a controller, which I highly recommend playing with, you can't speak to the people in the hub world for some weird reason. This can be fixed by removing the controller in the "controls" tab and then reconnect it after you've spoken to the person you want to speak to. Pretty annoying but not a deal breaker for me. Hopefully they'll fix it. Still a great game, highly recommend it!
