Instant classic?
I played for about an 1 hour, but I can say that this game is pure gold; it's a mix between Super Mario and Metal Slug, with an AWESOME retro style! The controls are super responsive, the soundtrack is remarkable, and I haven't found any bugs in the 6 levels I played so far. Oh, and it's hard as hell, too. I love you, Devs!

Over the top fun and imaginative
About 30 years into game development and there´s always something new to try. Hand drawn traditionally animated game? Amazing On another note the game is fast and fun, fair and difficult. And the animations and inner jokes very fun to watch. The game risked being swallowed by its graphics and charm. But it´s ended up being a really polished and unique game on its own merit. Great job!

This game is amazing!
This game is really fun! Even when you die a lot, you are still laughing and having a good time! This is an awesome game you can sit down with a friend or loved one (In person!) and experience something you can't get online co-op. Its a nostalgic feeling with a new spin on run and gun! Its colorful its fun its amazingly well animated I love the level design, i love the bosses! GOTY for me

A uniquely designed rewarding experience
Cuphead is a fantastically unique run and gun platformer that is a truly rewarding experience in almost every way. The art is phenomenal... the hand-drawn style and scratchy 1930s feel like you're playing through a time capsule into the cartoons of old. The accompanying soundtrack is quirky, jazzy and I often found myself dancing to the swing tunes while playing (even helped a bit too!). It is a challenging game, but not frustrating in the slightest. Rarely do you feel cheated, or that the game is being unfair. While the levels and bosses may be relentless, each attempt becomes a learning experience that nudges you that little further towards a truly satisfying victory! This is also helped by the very responsive controls that feel natural and are easy to get the hang of. I recommend this game to anybody who likes run and gun platformers (or platformers in general) who are looking for a unique experience that offers a whole new approach to the genre.

Works swell with Linux.
I bought this game from GOG just because I wanted to support awesome 2-D animation. I didn't think it'd actually work on my machine (Debian 9 GNU/Linux), but it works great without having to install any proprietary drivers or anything. Just `apt install wine-development` and you'll be slaughtering vegetables in no time!
