Not as good as advertized

I have to wonder if all these people who've given this game great ratings and reviews have actually finished it. I can barely get through the side missions for getting new powers without raging after dying or the clock running out at least 100 times. I think it's all bs. In other words, this is a game you want to like, but, just can't get around all the problems that are preventing you from doing so.

im is alright, overrated as peck

The game is good, but for me it was a meh or annoying to continuing playing after a few hours, the main plot of the game is the boring part of the game, but the secondary mission is what make me continuing playing the game and not excluding the Alan Wake DLC, the other one was not bother finished or interested to played. All the items in the facility are what any fan from the SCP series may enjoy to watch and read, a lot of the document are interesting to read mainly to know what they say, but considering the big4$$ number of documents in the game are I got overwhelm after reading a few of them, and just keep playing and graving them to not miss one part of a mini story or a classify document. One thing that makes me stop carrying about exploring the facility is the lack of reward the moment you found a secret area and the game rewards you with a document about the world, upgrades for your weapons or your character and receiving that sound of reward and progress, something like the Metroid games after getting an upgrade from your health or missiles. Most of the things in these areas are a flat upgrade for you, your weapons, or a document, and that makes me feel I waste my time exploring the areas. And just to rant a little bit, I cannot understand why they do not fix the boss fight against the anchor, after trying to find what cause that fight to crash or make not crash, I need to make the resolution go the lowest I can, all sound to 0 and pray to Jesus the fight does not crash. After a few tries I defeat the boss, but I cannot steal understand why they fixed or changed in the version of the game, the game is “Control Ultimate Edition” not “Control, the DLC’S, not fixing some stuff & goodies.” They are more stuff I want to say but I feel some are just nitpicks from my part.

This is not for me

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if I'm missing something, but the story, gameplay and overall setting feels really boring, I'm in an office going from point A to point B, just because I need to find something... I've passed the 3 hour mark and I just don't feel like "playing" more

Confusing to the point of frustrating

The story and gameplay mechanics is enough to keep you going. The gamepad controls using XBOX Series Controller are great and movement is easy. Can't comment on keyboard/mouse. The world of Control is confusing but they went a bit too "realistic" and made the game actually confusing. It was hard to enjoy at certain times. There is weak cognitive correlation in the game where it is difficult for the player to identify which action results to what. You are left guessing what to do more than half the time with vague and poorly worded missions. Some items needed to complete a mission are ridiculously hidden beyond the line of sight and there is no natural way for the player to look towards that direction. Whether the game devs thought they were being clever or not, it was unnecessarily frustrating for what's supposed to be a simple side-mission (i.e. Burn the Trash). It wasn't even a "puzzle". The item placement was just simply stupid. The game has very poor navigation aid and the map greatly adds to the confusion with no identifiable legends to mark different floor levels in the same area leading you to go around in circles for a good amount of time. For anyone looking for a game to chill to, this is probably not it. Losing 10% of money every death also makes it a game with lots of grinding. If you're not willing to dedicate the time to it, you will likely be heading to YouTube a lot.

Tried three times to finish...

The save will become corrupted and I cannot finish the game. Every time. Waste of time and money.
