Serviceable game for 10$
To make a long story short, this is a pretty fun game. It looks nice, it plays nice, it runs nice (on a relatively old system). If you look at the trailer and think: "this looks fun", it will be. For a while. The story makes no sense for the most part, literally almost all of it is redacted. Even the wiki. Near the end, the game starts slowing you down with pointless padding stages, and you just want to get it over with. I didn't even bother to play the DLCs. If you're reading this, tbh -- just try to finish the game without doing any of the side-stuff. Otherwise, the game is WAY too long for what it's worth. In less TLDR: 1. It has some sort of VRAM leak, or something. At some point the game becomes unplayable, it constantly crashes, and crashes everything else as well with it. Without restarting the computer, you cannot return to play the game. 2. From mid-end of the game, it start employing boring gameplay mechanics to pad out your play time. Like: "Kill X amount of enemies to unlock the door!", or: "Wait for X amount of time, for the gondola to arrive!" -- what is this, 2001? A Ubisoft game? 3. The story is too "mysterious" for its own good. It's okay to not understand absolutely everything, but even after reading the wiki -- literally all of the important parts are laid out as: "Nobody knows why x y z happened / is the way it is..." So basically, they just wrote a bunch of random crap together with no meaning or purpose to it. Almost literally everything is redacted. The only important stuff to know, is w/e the cutscenes tell you. Everything else is a waste of time. While it may sound like it, I don't regret buying, and playing the game. But I doubt I'll replay it. The game outstays its welcome, and I didn't even complete any of the DLCs, just did the Jukebox and the Mold.
