Not working mess

Blurry textures half the time, no matter the setting - I've tried two fixes available on the internet with no result. Add frequent FPS drops and a broken game if you try to start a new playthrough (all saves has to be deleted manually, otherwise the game just doesn't work as it should). Great idea let down by bugs

The weapons upgrade system is useless and uninteresting, you end up with overloaded weapons upgrades in your weapons layout, loads of small increased items,most of them the same. The UI for the weapon layout is also not very pleasing & confusing to navigate. I was amazed 2 see how dis game was allowed to be released with the bugs & bad programming it has, @ 1 part u meet a guard (optional mission) he opens a door with key level 9 for u & follows u around, all is well until u come 2 another door 4 level 9 key (I found out later) which he is also supposed 2 open, but instead he does nothing but follow u or just stand there, I only found out the next day after loading the game again & going 2 the same point he decided he would open the door dis time, & u would think dis was the only bug, no.... u r supposed 2 lead him back 2 help a fallen fellow, which I did & again he stood there & did nothing while I was right beside the injured guard, I had 2 go around the level a different way 2 the same point to get an icon appear on the guy following u which u have 2 press X 2 talk 2 him, very simple right? wrong he was running away from me, I had 2 chase him all over the level 2 press the X button icon which appears on him, I manged 2 jam him in2 a wall & then press the X button, at dis point he then leads u 2 the fallen guard & the game plays the way it is suppose to, & that's the end of the bugs/bad programming right? wrong again, after I had a chat with him after doing what needs 2 b done (he was meant 2 head back 2 a certain point, as in we split up) he continues 2 follow me, but only dis time both of his legs are stuck & proceeds 2 float around after me like a doll being held by an invisible hand, it was at this point I put this game down. The good points of the game are not strong enough to save it from the rest, which are the graphics and the physics. This could have been a great game but it just feels unfinished at best.

Didnt realize it was coming to GOG

Bought it on Steam unfortunately :-( This is a great game. The super powers feel awesome and you never feel too strong. Lots of exploration but a bit of back tracking at times. Deinitely worth every penny

I don't get the hype

I adored Quantum Break and really liked Alan Wake. But playing Control frustrates me. Weird but interesting story and great combat (mostly follows the template of Quantum Break with new moves). However the game doesn't flow as it should, I wish Remedy's quality assurance had realized that a bad interface and long load times -on an SSD- are very detrimental for a game: -you get 15-20 second load times when you continue from a save but also change floors, every time you die, if you fast travel between check points for a secondary mission... This is especially irritating since Control is not easy, but the frequent Game Overs send you back to the latest control point, which effectively means around a minute to load and walking back to where the fight was every-single-time you die. Also difficulty feels very uneven. -There's a bunch of collectibles to pick up and read to find more about the story, but there's no "Press Y to read" what you just picked. You need to: pause --> go to the collectibles menu --> select the collectible type you just picked --> scroll down the menu to look for it --> Finally! I'm the type that reads everything, but for Control I don't feel like navigating through the menus every other minute I'm not fighting. -No tutorial for the crafting system or secondary missions. I hate reading through tutorials as much as anybody, but feeling clueless is worse. Resources are somewhat scarce and I don't really feel a difference when I equip mods or select board countermeasures, only crafting new weapons. Overall I'm happy for Remedy that Control sold well, considering Quantum Break didn't despite being a masterpiece. If you have the chance try Control for 1-2 hours, it 100% gives you a feel of what the game is like. If you like the beginning you will like the rest, if not... pass.
