Pretty, but it's a tedious slog

Aesthetically the game looks beautiful, has great atmosphere, and the story is engaging. However, the gameplay has gotten repetitive and boring to the point where I'll either delete it or turn on immortality and one shot kills just to get through the story. At this point fighting the enemies is nothing more than a pointless chore. I don't find the weapons and powerups aren't all that compelling, so exploring the maps and taking side missions for the few scraps that the game throws at me is simply an unpleasant time waster. I'd say it's worth it on sale, especially if you don't mind spending hours grinding and exploring every nook and cranny. Otherwise, move on.

Control crash-a-lot

Control is yet another psychological horror game from Remedy to the likes of Max Payne and Alan Wake. Yes, while the graphics and physics are out of this world, it is very predictable, repetitive and brings nothing new to the table. It almost makes me wonder if Remedy knows how to do other genres. This is also the reason why I never got into Max Payne 3. I wanted to like this game and hoped this was something new but it isn't. Also, this crashes a lot when you really don't want it to (i.e.: after the end of a big battle or boss fight). beat it in 8hr with dying included

way too short. no diificulty option so its easy as hell way to short but i like the concept had to use youtube every 30 mintues for the guide almost impossible to know what to do next 5 stars if only it was longer

okayish

not a bad game as such but it gets way too samey. the enemies is basically the same over and over, and it spawns at intervalls. the upgrades is kind of meh in many cases, like maxing somethings just don´t seems to do that much really it´s like use this attack 4 times instead of 3. but there are some trippy stuff also. And i find the map confusing so it´s basically better to just use pointers. And on that point i get totally lost at times. the bosses is most at the times dull. there exist some "real bosses" but way to many is the dull, "standard enemy with more health" that spawn standard enemies. those times i died on bosses it´s usually not because of the boss as such. it´s the enemies around. at the beginning, it was kind of "hmm, nice but now it´s more ugh" but i will try to complete it don´t know about the dlc, which you have to find yourself for some stupid reason..

Over rated

This game reminds me a lot of outer worlds in a sense that if the story, premise, or characters doesn't pull you in then you'll probably get bored after a few hours because just about everything else is just mediocre or 'passable' The combat is exhilarating at first but the power fantasy quickly wears off. You're given a gun that can transform into 6 different weapon forms but you can only have 2 equipped at once which kills variety in combat. The main character is a plank of wood and theres_so - many - freaking exposition dumps in dialogue. Weapon mods and the skill tree mostly amount to stat % increases and the number only goes higher the further you go. A wannabe SCP game shrouded in a cloak of myseriousness to make it seem more interesting then it actaully is without any of the charm SCP has.
