Excellent Horror Masterpiece!
First of all, Clive Barker was brought in relatively late on the project, so while many of the aspects were of his design, much of it was completed before he got on board, so, due to this, the title is a bit misleading. However, this is a great game. Sure it contains the new age bologna that you can fight the occult with the occult, like just about every other game out there, but those looking for dark atmosphere mingled with horror will find it. Other than the graphics being a bit dated, this game can hold its own with most modern games. The environment design is wonderful and very Lovecraftian. If you like Lovecraft, you should like this. The game is a macabre walk into the bizarre, a roller coaster descent into madness, which doesn't disappoint. For the price, it is well worth your money. $5.99? That's nothing! The game is all about atmosphere, and traditional gothic horror. I cannot emphasize the Lovecraftian tone enough. The environments are simply beautiful. Gothic horror at its finest.
