Buggy and frustrating
I watched JFSS and he loved the game so I decided to check it out. Soon as I boot it up, there are white lines flashing on the backround as I walk around, I google for 10 min, find out its a known bug. its difficult to enjoy the style with flashing lines everywhere. I play for 5 minutes and hit a impassable wall. I cant get past it. I run back to the beggining, nothing. I search looking all over for a button or something. I finally give up, 15 more minutes googling it. Cant find anything so I watch a walkthrough, apparently my wall is bugged and dosnt give me the button to open it. So far I spent more time on google than the game I just bought. I reload, nothing saved, I assumed the runes I walked over saved, I was wrong. The actual gameplay forces you to play as 2 characters (Im maybe an hour into the actual game, to be fair), how do I know? Another 10 minutes of googling to figure out this is the only way to play. Two characters, one actually labeled P2. So this is a two player game and I have to control two players with one controller. I suppose the game play is fun but its hard to tell as 90% of the game is trying to deal with a character that is stuck on a wall or out of position which forces you to contantly try to get one character 'stuck' on somethign (because they move together of course) in the environment so you can put one of them into place. And all this while you are being attacked or dealing with environments that literally pull you apart from the 2nd character. A button for regathering them, or bringing the 2nd player to you, or anything frankly, would maybe make this tolerable but as of now, I simply cant play this any longer. Im annoyed. I looks fun but the bugs and 2nd player BS make this a "huh?!" experience. Maybe this is a great 2 player game, and since I bought it, I will try that out in a few months when my brother visits as there is no online component. 2 stars for now, for style and the potential for a fun game.
