We get it, you have a busy life and a lot of stuff competes for your time and attention. We're simply not the kids we used to be, with loads of free time to splurge on grinding for levels or items. We know that feeling – and Celestian Tales is made for people like us.

  • Skip the fight-just-too-damn-many-random-encounters! Slither away from them as you like as each encounter is yours to choose. Or just plow through everything in your path if you feel like it.
  • Also skip the boring drink-some-potions-after-each-battle and heal-party-every-now-and-then part. Stats reset by the end of each battle, so you can hit the road right away fresh and dandy.

More a book than anything else

I had high expectations for this game that turn into frustation. - First of all, I really wanted to kill Abel and sabotage Gareth´s plans. None happens. What is the point about make an completely insane, evil chararcter and don´t fight him to death or at least stop him, put him in jail? I can understand that he represent the evil in humanity, not only in himself but this is bad in a game nevertheless. It´s Ok in a book but not in a game. - I wanted Cammy to become full mage since I choose to pick up the book in the last game. Worse than not learn any forbidden spell for battle is Cam bought blueprints for a fireweapon that you will not see in game. This is almost a bad joke. Now the good points of the book...I mean the game ;) It´s very well written. The companions (kind of Royal Guards) have belivable behavior and face mature real life dillemas. Not the usual save the world. All selling points are true and art work very beautifull. The problem is that the game is very short and end when you think it will begin the real fight. A lot of things don´t happen and is left to your imagination.

Disappointing

I played the first part old North 6 times, once for every character, it was said we can import our saves and decisions. Would be hell of a lot better because after all that time I really had a hard time to remember my decisions, because that's what we get, asked about some key moment about a year I played years ago The art is still great, but I have to say, they more or less used the same places, the same setup, the art couldn't have been the reason this took forever. The story is the real downer, so the 6 have stopped a madman to kill a pregnant woman, and just because she was pregnant with a bastard child they get punished. Wonderful, my kind of justice. The ending was so toxic, I really hope the people who created this will not wrtihe anything else. There were some smaller graficbugs, my mouse was MIA ever so often, the fights are unbalanced, either way to easy, or at one map in the game, way to hard. If you played part1, this is at least closure, if not, well, stay away.

Poor game poor results

Wow, not only is the game not engaging. But Isaac remains to be the only one who gets what he wanted despite being a stupid arse hole, a cold blooded killer, and down right unscrupulous black heart, who is not short of a worthless corrupted assassin. To top it, he gets in with a most beautiful, most pious, most strong willed and dedicated woman who promises to be his wife. Damn alive, who designs these things?? Editor and creators are drunk b hind the wheel or what?? To top it all, the good people die, and even the good fie creatures (Satyr) who has helped humanity, gets killed by the most disgusting and most evil of them all, in the name of faith: Abel. I have never felt so nauseated playing a game in my life as much as this game has made me feel. Waste of money, time, effort and enjoyment of my life ever. NEVER BUY!!!

The Word To Sum This Game Up Is... Meh

My total play time 19h 38m Objective Review 6 of 5 must play. 5 of 5 great story great gameplay. 4 of 5 great story average gameplay. 3 of 5 average story great gameplay. 2 of 5 play only if it's your favorite genre. 1 of 5 play if you have nothing better to do. 0 of 5 play if you're a masochist -1 of 5 avoid Celestian Tales: Realms Beyond score is 2 of 5. Subjective Review To say there is a lot of reading is putting it mildly. I don't mind that. Never have. It allows me to put a voice to each character. I haven't played the first one yet; but I will. I like to play the sequels generally first, then go back in time. I didn't find the ingame graphics all that great. The artwork while the credits roll was fantastic. Too bad the whole game couldn't look like that. The story was ok. Nothing though to tell anyone else about... politics, friendships, and the problems those two bring when entwined. Lifelong rifts that can be the end result of poor decisions... but it just wasn't engaging at all. Travel here, take care of this, fight monsters and different baddies on the way... same old. I did feel there were some, what's the word?... charming conversations as the ending played out. Some mildly humorous conversations. Didn't experience any problems system-wise at all. Used a controller for the whole game.
