Fantastic game, but its got a few flaws

The game itself is really fun, and the procedural animation feels amazing and fluid. Playing as the monster in a horror movie is such a great idea for a metroidvania! With that said, there are two main issues I have with the game. First is the insta-kill enemies and traps, which just feel very frustrating and out of place. Second is the lack of map, which is fine for most of the game it's pretty straightforward, but towards the end I had no idea where I was, or were I was suposed to be going. Still a great game though, and if the devs were to patch those two things it would be an instant 5/5

Reverso horror puzzle banger.

Carrion plays a reverse horror game where you are the monster. It's build with good mechanics over a retro aesthetic, greadually getting bigger and more capable. I really like how the things is not an impervious juggernaut but is still very vulnerable to harm. At it's core it's a puzzle game which gives a satisfaction whenever the next puzzle is solved. I'm not a fan of the point-and-click combined with the few button combos, and the sluggish response of the creature even it's by design, but overall it's a good well thought out game where evey mechanic seems (so far) to be intentional. Now excuse me, I'm going back to play it some more.

Fleshy thingy

A gameplay 10/10, awesome mechanics and constant evolution of them, awesome sound effects and 10/10 art for a pixelart game, couldn't ask for more perfect as it is.

Brutal, gory horror

If you're a horror movie fan and appreciate movies like The Blob, then this game is amazing. The fluid movement of the creature around the levels is fantastic, the puzzles are challenging but not frustrating, and the horror themes are straight out of the best 80s movies. Atmospheric sound track too. It reminds me of playing the Alien in the first AvP game, hiding in air vents above, waiting for humans to be isolated.
