Politically incorrect, unadulterated fun

Awesome. When it was first published it was probably the game I played most. The first Carmageddon was histerically funny, so violent it stopped being so and became goofy, but this one is even better. Maybe the graphics are not brilliant, but the package is perfectly balanced. In a game that focuses on being able to do the stupidest, most absurd things it´s fundamental to have responsive controls and an environment which allows you to do whatever you want. This is exactly what happens in Carmageddon 2, and this is what makes it stand out. In fact, the game gets even better if you compare it with its successor, the TDR2000. All in all, this game is like a joke that never gets old. It´s hysterically funny, and every time you go back to it you get a different experience.

OMG its Carmageedon 2!

I voted for this as one of the best of the old games that I wanted to see on Gog. the single player game was an awesome smash and crash fest. I loved it. the first time a pedestrian fell to there knees and begged for there life after I had just missed running him over I died laughing. then I ran him over anyway. race, run over people, and or wreck your opponents. GET THIS GAME!

Childhood memories

One of my most favourite games of all time, playable on the new OS's. Still have my original CD for this game and could never get it working correctly. Thank you so much GOG. This game is challenging, fun and very addictive. 10/10.

Depraved Humor Extravaganza

This game: -hours and hours of replay value because the regular game play is such ridiculous fun! -free camera replay options letting you relive the most hilarious moments of the race -the racing missions are very challenging and fun if don't mind the sub-optimal handling the physics afford your cars - don't be ashamed of going with the easiest difficulty setting which gives you more time to finish. -so it's not a racing game at essence and some of the other mission-type levels can be very frustrating as well -however laying havoc on your opponents is marvelous fun albeit the last guy can sometimes be a bit hard to track down: the opponents can literally teleport around the map when you're not in their direct vicinity -I remember playing just the first two city "races" for ages and ages because our copy had missing files or something that didn't let us play the second map at all so we couldnt' proceed. That proves it was fun!

Wot a punt!

For years, i kept my PentiumII Win98, just to keep playing this game from time to time. When it finally died after 20 years, i tried different VM's on my Win7, but never got it to work... So i was very happy to find it here on GOG! Race tracks like Mr Jolly Fairgound, USS Lewinsky, Local Nuclear Silo and the ski piste are just fabulously insane. Well, all tracks are brilliantly designed imo, but each time you think it can't get any crazier, it does... (remember the one where a plane lands on your head during countdown?) ;-) I don't think one has to choose between racing, wrecking or killing, but you have to mix them. In later races, it becomes clear that the more you race for checkpoints, the easier it becomes to get rid of opponents, but for racing, you need time and therefor you have to kill... After a few laps, the weaker opponents are easy to get wasted, while during the last two laps, the heavier opponents become easier to wreck, if they haven't wrecked themselves yet. Definitely one of my all time favorites!
