Caesar 3

There isn't much about this game that hasn't been said before; but even stuck at 800x600 resolution on my MacBook Air running in CrossOver Games, this game still succeeds at utterly grabbing my attention, just like it did back on my old 120 MHz clunker back in the day. As others have done, I pretty much ignored the missions and the psuedo-military combat in favor of just pure sandbox building game play; even that on its own provides an enjoyable, but not insurmountable challenge. Just remember to build lots of Prefectures, Engineering Posts, and Doctor's Clinics….

When GOG first started, this is the very first game I thought to look for. I'm glad to see they have now ... otherwise, I'd have to buy it on ebay yet again. Very addictive, engaging game; you can play it with different goals in mind (focus on military strength, prosperity, culture, etc.) ... I really wished they'd followed up with a multiplayer version. Will be getting this very soon.

it's all good about this game except this one doesn't introduce the block - which block people in city going around. and the god system is a little bit complicated. i would buy this game for my friend

I found the Caesar series accidentally a long time ago, but I've been a fan every since! I have all including part 4, and I absolutely love playing them!!!

I loved Caesar 3 when it first appeared - and I'm glad to see it on GOG.com. The game is still as great as I remember it, but I really hope Pharaoh, Zeus and Emperor will soon follow. Each game was unique - and not in details only.
