The second installment of the Broken Sword series is good and the adventure goes on on a positive funny tone.
The main characters have not changed, they still have the same personalities. New location to visit and to unravel mysteries, which are always surprising and cool.
Some did not like this one like the first one but i think it's worth the first one. They are both great games ad if you have the first Broken Sword, you can't stay away from this one, It won't disappoint you, on the contrary you will be delighted and excited.
For a long time, this one has stayed my favorite.

After surviving a Templar conspiracy, George Stobbart and Nicole Collard are once again drawn into an international adventure spanning continents, this time involving a Mayan prophecy that will destroy the world. On the way they will encounter a diverse cast of characters, some good, some bad, some in-between.
The gameplay is typical for the adventure game genre, which includes talking to characters, interacting with items and the world and solving puzzles to move the story forward. In this game you will have the chance to control both George and Nico in separate parts of the story. I must impart a warning: you CAN die in this game, in several instances, so save accordingly. The interface won't get in your way and is easy to use. Everything you need is a mouse click away and you can easily combine and use items or interact with characters or the scenery. No pixel hunting, if you know what you're doing.
The difficulty of the puzzles varies, although you will encounter no problems if you keep a clear head and take your time to think them through. There are a couple of interesting ones, such as finding the right path while wandering through a jungle to get to an important location for another puzzle.
As I said before, you can die in this game. There are a couple of intense scenes where you have to think and act quickly to solve a problem. This adds some needed tension to the game. It is, after all, an ADVENTURE game!
The graphics are good, with some locations that are just beautiful, such as a Mayan pyramid and its interiors. The music and sounds add to the game in terms of atmosphere and the voice acting is competent. The story is well written, with some supernatural elements added, the main characters are likeable and even relatable, the gameplay is good enough to recommend this game to individuals who like adventure games.

I loved it back then and still love it.
Those who came across the first game, eagerly got this second story when it came out. And boy was it good. Humor, riddles, jokes, thrilolers, fun ... point&click at its best - the likes of Monkey Island, Days of the Tentacle or Indiana Jones.
Years later this second part of Broken Sword appears strangely familiar, if you compare it to Sonys Uncharted series.
What came after the second part was two abomenations: the unfruitful and horrid attempts to move the series to 3D. (Even Monkey Island did not manage this - bad images of zombie like horrible characters still haunt those who accidently experienced the failed experiments and send chills to their bones).
It was up to the fan base to fix this! Don't miss to also check out the Community project "Broken Sword 2.5 - Return of the Templars" that you can find for free online, if you love part 1 and 2.
The community was so successful with its fan release that the original producer returned with another 2D attempt, that is also quite nice, yet not as successful: "Broken Sword 5 - the Serpent's Curse"
I got this as a Christmas present many years ago, and its still is one of my favorite adventure games.
It is so relaxing to play, and enjoy good voice-acting.
btw, Try giving the coal to the goat in Quaramonte City. :)
