Superb

A slow start, a glorious rise, a superb ending (I include Epiphany here as well because if you play the bundle you HAVE to play Epiphany as well). The first one is a touch slow and clumsy technically, despite already having a superb text writing and a very catchy set of ideas, both in terms of flavor and mechanics. Then they set onto an improving trend, and they get better and better. Technicalities get solved, art and music quality improves, the texts and plot writing improves even further. Very nice take on point and click investigation in a slightly different way than the classic Lucas ones. The use of note, research on the web/phone books, the open search fields (forget about random clicking your way through it) is also pretty interesting. A few puzzles along the whole series can be debatable in terms of logics, but all in all, a Must have for every PNC fan worth of its name.

I'm impressed.

This is a great writing. As an adventure game, it lacks intricate puzzles and interactivity but they are more than compensated by a great story and atmosphere.

Good package

It's hard to review all these games in one review. Some of them are better, some of them are worse. You sea how some mechanics are added or changed as series progresses... What do they have in common then? They are relatively short, the two main characters are likable, the voice acting is solid (with few exceptions, when young actress is voicing some old lady), the puzzles are simple, the bigger focus is on the story, they have noir atmosphere with jazzy music and they are generally enjoyable. As a package, these four games are definitely worth it.

Nice story and puzzles!

Very good adventures, with some good logic and puzzles, thankfully! You almost feel like a detective when you go to your pc (not irl, but inside the game) to search the web for clues, or hack into someones mail, and try to put the pieces together. Interresting story where you help ghosts to the other side, and try to stop some bad people. Play them in this order: - The Blackwell Legacy - Blackwell Unbound - The Blackwell Convergence - The Blackwell Deception - The Blackwell Epiphany (not included in this bundle) First two games are very short, and almost feels like a demo or something. Third game is very polished, long game, and has the greatest music! Very soft jazz and piano and some electronic, really great stuff! Now I'm gonna start playing the fifth and last game, very excited!

Some good. some bad

Short and to the point: Convergence and Deception use a more recent version of the game engine and are much nicer to play. They also have better stories, music and voice acting IMO. The first two installments (Legacy and Unbound) quite honestly made me cringe (blocking UI, flickering graphics - I played DOS adventures that were way smoother). Didn't even finish those, so I can't really comment on the story. All in all, not a bad deal.
