Nothing like the first two games.
The gameplay itself and the graphics were somewhat OK. The story though...no, just no. For me, the series ended on Bioshock 2.

tedious, inane, cretinous...
boring combat, sterile setting, hackneyed, annoying and unlikable characters all around, poor voice acting, cringe dialogue, pretentious, ham-fisted and farcical story. i find system shock 2 and bioshock to be some of the finest games ever crafted. bioshock infinite isn't just a bad shock game, it's a bad game. this catastrophe of a game had me in disbelief the entire playthrough. what a shame.

BioShock Infinite
I went into this game with high expectations, despite having 0 clue what the story entailed. This game blew away every expectation I had. This is some of the greatest storytelling in any game I've ever played and I loved every minute of it.

One of the greatest (game) stories ever
This game has one of the best game stories ever told. It starts typically Bioshock like. With an utopia gone wrong but this time in the skies and not the deep sea. Your values as a gamer and as a human being are testet - when you play through it (in one long sitting as I did) you find yourself with questions and so many new knowledge about quantum mechanics... Ken Levine did an outstanding job as the writer (also Rhianna Pratchett the daughter of Terry Pratchett did additional writing) The protagonists are loveable and humanlike in their decitions, the action is awesome, the presentation is like a mindbending high quality movie (still nodding at Christopher Nolan as a director if they ever would make this masterpiece into a movie)... I play this gem every couple of years just to remind me that there are awesome games with good storytelling out there ;)
