Story was really good and included different takes on classic Batman characters. Episode 3 was highpoint of hole series and in my opinion game includes best potrayal of one of the villains in Batman. Game's original villain didn't quite work for me and plot run out of steam in the end but first three episodes make up for bit weak ending.
Potential buyers should know that game is quite buggy and especially visual hiccups are common, these can be really distracting and broke immersion. Examples of these bugs include stuttering, missing facial animations and sometimes heads moved unnatyrally.
If you value plot and story alot more than techical performance I'd say game is worth buying.
Surprisingly the story kept me interested and the choices engaged me altho some things felt unnecessary in the story or characters. There were a few bugs or glitches but nothing bad.
3/5 Its a solid opening for future Batman story.
This is probably one of the greatest games I've ever played. Admittedly I haven't played too many (LOL), but I don't say this lightly. A lot of the previous reviews mention glitches. If there were glitches, they've been fixed. If there are glitches, they currently consist of very minor things. For example, in two scenes the animantions delivered several lines of dialogue without their lips moving. It's also possible the "glitch" references might refer to the events wherein you must press "E" or "Q" in a timely manner, or else Batman doesn't fight so well or gets killed. In the early part of the game, I felt there was lag between me pressing the buttons and the actual acknowledgment. However, I quickly realized this wasn't the case at all. Once you learn the timing, it becomes very natural. Sometimes the game gives you an endless amount of time. Other times it seems to deliberately only give you a mere instant to react. But none of this is done in such a way that the game is either too easy at times nor too difficult at other times.
Now, with the glitch issue addressed, the overall game is simply amazing! You really do feel like you're Batman, making decisions that alter the storyline in huge ways. The plot was gripping. Batman is charismatic. The world and gameplay are engaging. Once I started playing I couldn't stop! You would think that fights between Batman and these super villians would be pretty boring and unsurprising at this point. WRONG. There was real drama here, real mystery and real surprises and emotion. The interactive plot, the very substance of the game, really accounts for 99% of why I consider this game great. It wasn't shallow or stupid. It was very mature and definitely replayable again and again and again!
This is really a very good story, it's different by the classic Batman story but it's good and interesting. Very good graphics and great acting voices. The games is fun even to replay. This is the second game of Telltale Games I play and I think is really great, especially for the discounted prices is offered.
First of all, note that english is not my first language. So forgive the errors.
3 stars. It's not bad, but not great. Why ? The game runs truly poorly on good systems. Framerates are not consistents. For a game who shouldn't require a high end PC. This is truly a shame.
Now, the story is inconsistent. Especially at the begining. First episode is quite boring, he has his good moments, but sometimes, we just don't really care on what's going on. To be fair, the story becomes great after that. They adapted the story of Batman to do some good changes. As a Batman fan, i read many comics, and be surprised is actually nice. I took an incomensurable pleasure to choose my lines, i tried to be the closest on what Batman could say or do, and for this, the game is not bad at all.
It's finally a classic telltale game. The choices are quite superficials and don't change the story much. I wish that teltalle evolve on this, this critic is actually possible on ALL teltalle games. But i however love this game. I recomend it if you do love the teltalle style or if you are a Batman fan. And if you are a forgiving nature about the performance of the game. If you are preocuped by your framerates too much, you will hate that game so much.
