Baldur's Gate 3

Takes me back to my D&D days of 40 years ago.

Please note that I have only played this game for about 25 hours and I have only played Baldur's Gate and none of the Divinity games. There are some really cool things about the game so far. I like how there are different ways to interact with the characters and different ways to solve problems. The graphics are excellent and works well in Windows 7. I like the ability to Jump and use items in a fight. I also like how you can decide on your character and pretty much go through the game with that character. For example, I have always wanted to play a warlock or sorcerer but in old Baldur's Gate that was a limiting class. Here is what I think the game needs: 1. In some cases the game is too easy. In Baldur's Gate you had to develop a strategy to win. That may be due to the AI being programmed a bit harder. 2. Sneaking and stealing seem to be too easy as well. I was able to steal everything I need. This may have been done to offset the amount of money you get and finding magical items in the wild. 3. I really miss being able to create my own team: wizard, thief, ranger and cleric. But in doing so, I know that takes away from the dialog of the game, which is pretty awesome. 4. I definitely think there should be more customization with stats and more options in appearances. It would also be nice to see different varieties of armor to give the character a different look from other characters. 5. The only thing that frustrated me was the camera view. In Baldur's Gate the camera was fixed and you can also get a clear view. In this version, the camera view does not adapt well to inside caves, houses and such. Even outside when I was trying to navigate the camera view would zoom into a mountain. Maybe the option to fixed the camera view and or having the camera adapt better to the surrounding area. It would be nice when my party moved the camera followed. 6. I noticed that a level 3 ogre would gave the same amount of hit points as a level 3 goblin. This I think needs to be changed. Fighting an ogre is very different from fighting a goblin. I am sure others will have constructive feedback about the game as well. This is my input and I will still continue to play the game and possibly give more feedback. Look forward to seeing the full release.

Если не считать раннего доступа (где я быстро пробежал первый акт часов за 20 еще года 2 назад), то я прошел игру полностью после выхода часов за 80-90 (пропустив половину первого акта и одну локацию). Игра абсолютно не затянута и с учетом получаемого удовольствия кажется, что проходится очень быстро (но на счетчике 116 часов) и да, хочется еще, но игра к сожалению к этому моменту уже закончилась. Боевка не наскучила и держала в напряжении до конца. Квесты и сюжет достойный, персонажи компаньены лучшие (если сравнивать со всеми играми в которые играл, возможно так воспринял благодаря полноэкранной анимации и отыгрышу). Кто будет играть советую взять персонажа Темный соблазн, так как это серьезно влияет на восприятие сюжета (я играл за человека воина, дракона визарда брать не обязательно, ему можно выбрать любую расу и клас). Давно игра не оставляла у меня такое множество разнообразных положительных эмоций. Спасибо Вам большое за то, что подарили их. БГ3 всегда будет одной из самых моих любимых игр. И как ветеран, прошедший первые две части еще во время их выхода (лет 20 назад), БГ3 более чем достойна носить цифру 3.

The political correctness especially touching on gender is mildly annoying but the mechanics and the storylines and choices are solid.

Baldur's gate 3 should be renamed or something, it is NOT the true baldur's gate experience.. While the graphics and interaction stuff is amazing, the game is extremly linear in the way you must travel or do things, unlike baldur's gate 1 where you can freeroam almost from the start... For this reason i feel it's too far from the true baldur's gate experience. No chat in multiplayer is stupid, i'm a mute person and cannot speak with a microphone they really didn't consider things.. also they got chat boxes for rolls and stuff already. Turn-based is another joke, I understand some people struggle with a little action but i feel this should have stayed RTWP or round-based realtime like neverwinter nights... I'm disappointed, i was a big fan of baldur's gate, icewind dale and planescape..
