Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition

How about some guidance??? The tutorial doesn't help you and assumes you already know how to play the game. The combat system is also unpredictable.

I played this game so many many many hours. Is the enhanced version worse than the original, yes. Is this still a decent version for everyone not having the original, yes. So 4 Stars because the EE is decent enough in my opinion.

I played the original Baldur`s Gate around 15 years ago, so I don`t remember everything, to compare how is EE faring compared to original. It is running okay, some bugs are fixed, I encountered some new. It also implemented new sub-classes, which were introduced originally in the BG2. This is nice. In general, I think this version is a bit easier, I found more enchanted weapons. On the contrary, there are some weird "updates", like changed the names of some items (Boots of Speed, for example). I didn`t have the opportunity to play all the additional content, but Neera is fine (I missed some usable mage) and Dorn died the encounter we should meet. In general, this is okay. When on sale, like right now, go get it.

Banish the thought of buying this game, or this series. Beamdog's idea of enhancement is to insert modern controversy into a game that was perfect before they got their filthy hands on it. Think about what activision and ea have done to all of the games they've gotten their hands on, think of how hasbro has ruined Magic the Gathering, think of how Disney has ruined Star Wars and you'll have a good idea of what beamdog did to this series.
