Escapism at its best

I'm only about a quarter through the game. Challenging at times, but mostly easy and enjoyable puzzle-solving fun. Soothing spy music and midcentury vibes make this a super cozy & relaxing game. Bonus - I love that it's point and click. A lot of games cause motion sickness for me - this one doesn't.

Fun escape & puzzle game

Three hours of fun with this escape & puzzle game. Good graphics, nice gameplay, logical sequence.

Nice and simple

This is bascially a simplified adventure game. The game is divided into several screens or rooms where you need to find items and combine them. The puzzle design is very reminiscent of escape rooms. Sometimes you have to simply combine things. On other occasions there are patterns to be aligned or simple codes to be deciphered. A camera or pen and paper are very sensible things to have at hand. While the game is not terribly long it is a nice and relaxing experience for two or three evenings with a friend or a loved one. My only gripe is that it is sometimes a little difficult to find all items in a screen. A highlight function would have been a welcome addition.

There are many pros on the game - catching story worth to follow, charismatic main villain, sense of humor, well designed puzzles forcing you to use keen eye, logic and memory; well balanced difficulty of puzzles, user friendly controls, stylish 1960’s like graphics, music inspired by espionage themes, dubbing of Ruby La Rouge. You won’t really find many cons here - maybe the optional hardcore difficulty to provide a challenge for hardcore players and more charismatic main hero with dubbed voice and humorous one-liners. Pros: - story - main villain - sense of humor - puzzle design - balanced difficulty - controls - graphics - music - dubbing of main villain Cons: - no real challenge for hardcore players - not too charismatic main hero without dubbing Agent A: A puzzle in disguise delivers almost perfect 1960’s espionage game atmosphere spiced up by the charismatic main villain, well designed puzzles where you need to pay attention to details and use your memory and intellect and all of these wrapped up into great audiovisuals. Although purely a single player game I think that you will also have fun while playing with your family and it is definitely a good game for training memory and logical thinking. I have really enjoyed playing this game in a style “one more puzzle to crack and I will go to sleep” and thus I am giving it Thumbs Up and VideoGaming Father’s Index 8+ out of 10 - highly recommended!
