One of my favorites
I didn't buy it on here as I still have the DVD's, though I was tempted (wth is wrong with me lol). First time through I didn't mind the grinding of skills (spell skills, stealth, lockpicking), it plays more like an old school MMORPG in that respect. But second time around I got a wiz8 save game editor and I use that to pump all "grindy" skills up to like 100. Spell schools, stealth, lockpicking, maybe even artifacts and throwing/ranged. Lets you focus on the game itself, exploration, and party/character design. I also back in the day even made a mod that I still have; made leveling like 100x faster and added easier to obtain loot (and even some new weapons and armor), took a while to do it but since creatures level up with you (sort of), it was still a lot of fun, and still had fights where I would have to reload because I got overwhelmed or just had bad luck (PARALYZE I'm looking at you!).
